🎉 New book from Dr Tom Carroll, School of Mathematical Sciences: We are thrilled to announce the publication of Dr Carroll's book, “Geometric Function Theory - A Second Course in Complex Analysis,” published by Springer. 📚 This textbook looks at geometric function theory - the study of complex analysis with an emphasis on the geometric viewpoint and on geometric results. Complex analysis has numerous applications, particularly in two-dimensional settings, including fluid dynamics, signal processing, control theory, and physics, such as quantum mechanics. Congratulations to Dr. Tom Carroll on this achievement! 👏
