Inclusive sex education IS a human right 👏 and folks, of all genders, sexualities, race & faith deserve access to RSHE that reflects & represents them. As a sex educator I can see why these individuals fall for scams like this - because they aren’t provided with the knowledge needed to challenge these scams, and if professionals are telling you something a you’re more likely going to believe them & trust them. And you should be able to trust your doctor - but it’s vital to have your own information & so your own resource. But how can you when these resources aren’t made available, or you don’t have internet access, or you don’t even know how to begin the conversation. These poor individuals who are being scammed by these pregnancy scams would be better protected if they have access to inclusive RSHE. Of course, inclusive RSHE isn’t the only answer - we need to fight for reproductive rights alongside providing young people with sex education that will give them the tools to protect themselves from scams like this. RSHE saves lives. This is proof.

Empowering the Next Generation on International Day of the Girl Child" Today, we celebrate the power, potential, and promise of every girl around the world! 🌍✨ On this International Day of the Girl Child, we at KAAF Specialist Hospital are passionate about making sure that every girl gets access to the right knowledge and tools to thrive. And one of the most critical tools? Sex education. In a world where information is often confusing or hard to talk about, our medical director took a bold step by speaking to young students about the importance of understanding their bodies, boundaries, and health. It’s not just about "the talk" — it’s about empowering girls to make informed decisions, protect themselves, and understand that their health matters. 🧠💪 Sex education gives girls the knowledge to navigate their teenage years with confidence, self-awareness, and dignity. Too many teens get too little sex education. In 2015-19, only about 50% of adolescents reported that they received sex ed that meets the minimum standard articulated in Healthy People 2030. Comprehensive sex education is essential for adolescent reproductive autonomy. #TrustTeens (Lindberg & Kantor, 2021) H/T Youth Reproductive Equity This is why I want to do work to improve how sex ed is delivered to our teens. They deserve reproductive autonomy and reproductive justice.

Empowering Women through Comprehensive Sex Education Sex education is a vital component of overall health and well-being, yet it remains a topic often shrouded in stigma and misinformation. For females, in particular, understanding their bodies and their health can lead to empowered decision-making and a better quality of life. Key Points to Consider: Understanding Reproductive Health: Knowledge about menstrual cycles, contraception options, and reproductive rights is essential. It allows women to make informed choices about their health and family planning. Consent and Communication: Teaching the importance of consent and open communication in relationships fosters respect and mutual understanding. It's crucial for creating safe and healthy relationships. Preventive Health Measures: Regular gynecological check-ups, HPV vaccinations, and understanding the signs of common health issues can prevent more serious conditions. Early detection and prevention are key. Mental and Emotional Well-being: Sex education isn't just about physical health; it also encompasses mental and emotional aspects. Addressing topics like body image, self-esteem, and relationship dynamics contributes to overall well-being. Access to Resources: Providing information about where to find reliable health resources, support services, and professional advice ensures that women have the help they need when they need it. By fostering an environment where women feel comfortable seeking information and asking questions, we can help break down the barriers that prevent many from receiving the education and care they deserve. Let's work together to ensure that every woman has the knowledge and tools to live a healthy, empowered life. #SexEducation #WomensHealth #Empowerment #HealthEducation #LinkedInLearning

We take the awkward out of sex education to test just how much bros know about the female reproductive system. In our latest episode, we hit the streets to assess their basic knowledge, beliefs, and attitudes about the menstrual cycle and partnered with Clue—one of the best (and safest) menstrual tracking apps—to help normalize the conversation. Upon launch, the episode quickly went viral on Instagram and TikTok, showing that most people are eager to learn about and discuss a normal and healthy part of life that affects nearly half of the world's population. We make it our mission to partner with brands who share similar values. If you are one or know one who may want to collaborate, hit us up, and let’s chat. Or, tag a bro and put ‘em in the know! 😉 Follow us for misplaced machismo and more ⤵ TikTok: https://lnkd.in/edduXMX6 Instagram: https://lnkd.in/eQ6BFF7w

After the past 10 weeks in the Polygence program, I want to share my first independent research project, “Advancing Sex Education and Health Outcomes: The Impacts of Education and Support Programs in Cambodia.” In this paper, I uncovered the realities that many Cambodian female teenagers face regarding their sexual health and lifestyle choices. The findings were more than expected, revealing challenges beyond traditional expectations for these young women. Throughout my literature review, I was deeply moved by the constraints these girls encounter in my home country. Many feel they have limited choices. I believe this is an ongoing problem that needs an urgent solution. This research hasn’t only highlighted these issues but also helped me clarify my passion for empowering women. I am determined to use tech to advocate for social issues, especially for better sex education and support programs that can create positive changes in their lives. The Supreme Court recently landmarked judgment advocating for the implementation of sex education in schools as a means to curb sexual crimes and promote awareness among students. The court emphasised that comprehensive sex education is essential for equipping young people with knowledge about consent, reproductive health, and safe relationships. The judgment highlights the importance of educating children about sexual rights and responsibilities, aiming to reduce instances of sexual violence and exploitation. By integrating sex education into school curricula, the Supreme Court believes that students will be better prepared to recognise inappropriate behaviour and report it, ultimately fostering a safer environment. Read more about this article which outlines the potential positive impacts of this initiative, including increased awareness, reduced stigma surrounding sexual health topics, and empowerment of students to make informed decisions: https://lnkd.in/gBjvnHwS Contact Safe Spaces for expert POSCO training. #SafeSpaces #SexEducation #SupremeCourt #SexualHarrasement #SexualRights #Judgement #SchoolCirriculum #SexualHealth #POCSO #SexualAwareness #POSHAct #POSHnews
