Netflix's Paul-Tyson fight broadcast exposed a painful reality: persistent buffering and pixelated videos, let alone "black screens of death", can utterly ruin the live sports experience. With live sports becoming the new battleground for streamers, and major players like Netflix, Amazon, Apple, Google, and Disney's ESPN pouring billions into live sports streaming, the competition is fierce—but so are the challenges. The core problem is that Internet traffic—whether it's emails or live sports—is delivered using the same one-size-fits-all network mechanisms. Today’s Internet data delivery is not optimized for the low latency and massive data throughput required for seamless live sports streaming to millions of viewers. As more fans flock online to watch live events, these issues will only intensify. Enter Compira Labs. Using cutting-edge AI/ML technology, Compira Labs tailors data delivery to meet the unique requirements of live sports—ensuring low latency, smooth delivery, and adaptability to varying network conditions. Built on groundbreaking research, Compira Labs’ patented technology is already deployed at scale, delivering superior user experience across live sports, gaming, connected cars, and more. For streamers looking to stay ahead in the rapidly growing live sports streaming market, Compira Labs offers a solution that is seamless to integrate on any existing CDN and ensures that every viewer gets the experience they deserve. #livestreaming #streamingmedia #machinelearning #qoe

Another vendor pitch saying Netflix and others need their technology, claiming to be "deployed at scale," without a single customer reference, case study, or technology validated from a third party. Not a single customer announcement, presentation with a customer at an event or customer reference. The two documents, which are labeled as "case studies," are three years old, and one is comparing "TCP Congestion Control Performance over a Satellite Network," which has no reference to streaming. I don't know why vendors think this is a valid sales pitch. It's not.
