Attention to all Refrigeration & Air Conditioning contractors , it is vital that anyone who is an apprenticeship provider register to attend the consultation meeting on the new single apprenticeship system by Dr Mary-Liz Trant this coming Friday. As you all know the IRI Institute of Refrigeration Ireland has been pushing hard to update the RAC curriculum to ensure safe and best practices for our up and coming apprentices. The trade is growing with almost 700 apprentices in the system at present and it is imperative we ensure that apprenticeship funding from Simon Harris is used to modernize our curriculum and equipment to best serve apprentices and industry alike. The latest changes to FGAS and the quest for low GWP Refrigerants has highlighted a serious skills gap in our curriculum with no Hydrocarbon or C02 refrigerant training present. We need to ensure that our apprentices are fit for purpose and have the opportunity to learn best practices within the apprenticeship framework whatever that may look like in the future. The link to register for the meeting is below : https://lnkd.in/eqMbaevF
