🌟 Thrilled to Share My Experience in the 2024 EESA Mentoring Program 🌟 Last month, I had the incredible opportunity to dive deep into Australia’s electrical sector, gaining invaluable insights and connecting with some amazing professionals. Here's a snapshot of what stood out: 🔌 A Journey Through History Learning about ETSA (Electricity Trust of South Australia), which managed electricity generation, transmission, and distribution as a single entity from 1948 until its privatization in the late 1990s, was fascinating. The evolution of responsibilities into today’s framework—with SA Power Networks for distribution, ElectraNet Pty Ltd for transmission, and leading companies like AGL and Origin Energy—truly showcases the dynamic transformation of South Australia’s electricity industry. 💡 Key Takeaways from the Industry Experts Hearing Franco Crisci insights on energy storage and Ezio Marino emphasis on the challenges of cybersecurity as renewable energy integration increases added practical dimensions to these discussions. 🏗️ Key Players in Major Projects Discovering the ecosystem of major players in the industry was equally valuable. From Jacobs, GHD, and Aurecon engineering firms to system integrators and consultants like Fyfe Pty Ltd, and GPA Engineering, and technology providers like Siemens, Schneider Electric, and Rockwell Automation—it’s clear how collaboration drives innovation in this field. 💬 Gratitude and Growth The mentoring program, organized by the Electric Energy Society of Australia (EESA), through the University of Adelaide offers engineers a platform to connect with industry leaders, expand their knowledge, and enhance career opportunities. Participating in this initiative has been an eye-opener, providing not just technical insights but also invaluable networking opportunities. A heartfelt thanks to the team there for creating this enriching platform! It was awesome to meet such inspiring friends such as Pavahaariny Kathegesen and Umair Muhammad as well. #Mentorship #EESA #EnergySector #ElectricalEngineering #ProfessionalGrowth #Networking

Yesterday I concluded a global training and exchange program between Engie executives, which represented a journey of evolution and transformation in the way of using the networking of a global company to create relationships of trust, knowing how to express our challenges in a way that allows the contribution of others and still see our situations from other perspectives... The name of the Tool we use is Peer-Coaching, which was conducted in an extremely constructive way by the consultant Fairouz Guédira, partner of #EngieGBUNetworks in this program. I had the chance to exchange in 7 sessions with colleagues from France, Chile and Brazil. Representing differents companies of Engie's portfolio, Elengy, Storengy - ENGIE, ENGIE Brasil, ENGIE Chile! For me, a great summary of these encounters in the powerful words of José Saramago: "That it is necessary to leave the island to see the island, that we cannot see ourselves if we do not leave ourselves". #TAG #OneEngie #EnergyTransitionLeader

🏢 Oxan Energy had the pleasure of welcoming Lucie Mallet for her end-of-study #internship in our office in Paris. We asked her a couple of questions to help understand her reasons for choosing to work at Oxan Energy and her assignments during the last 6 months as Assistant Project Manager. ❓ Why did you decide to do your end-of-study placement with Oxan Energy❓ OXAN ENERGY is a dynamic company specializing in the field of #renewable energies, a sector that I am passionate about and that is experiencing significant growth. I am currently completing my studies at ESILV, an #engineering school in La Défense/Paris, with a specialization in "Energy and Sustainable Cities”. This internship allowed me to put into practice the knowledge I gained during my studies in renewable energies. Last year, I completed a four-month internship in the field of onshore wind energy. I was particularly enthusiastic about working in renewables! This year, I wanted to discover the #offshore wind sector. I was offered to work with both the development and the technical teams, which was very interesting and complementary. I am very happy to have joined them for these six months, which were rich in new experiences and learning. ❓ To this last point, what were your assignments at Oxan Energy and what exactly have you learnt from them❓ During my internship as an Assistant Project Manager in offshore wind energy, I had the opportunity to gain valuable experience and develop multiple skills. My role allowed me to delve into the offshore wind energy sector by conducting in-depth market #analysis in France and different markets in Europe, as well as assessing opportunities for upcoming tenders. One of my major projects involved an in-depth #study of the varying densities of offshore wind farms worldwide and the factors influencing these differences. This research not only broadened my understanding of global offshore wind energy strategies but also sharpen my analytical skills. Additionally, as part of a teamwork, we developed a site assessment tool to identify the best locations for future projects. 📷 A highlight of my internship was the #visit of Saint-Nazaire offshore wind farm! This technical visit was extremely informative, allowing me to closely observe the operation of an offshore wind farm and understand the logistical and technical challenges associated with its operation and maintenance. This hands-on experience complemented my theoretical knowledge and provided me with a concrete perspective on the daily operations of an offshore wind farm. This experience at OXAN ENERGY enhanced my project management skills and improved my knowledge in offshore wind energy. Thank you to the entire OXAN ENERGY team for this valuable experience and the support and trust! #intern #education #learnings WORKINBLUE BY BLUESIGN
