Help! Advice please for a newbie. 🙏 Ive been invited to ILTM Cannes this year for the first time ever. IYKYK you can guess Im pretty excited, but I have a problem..... There are over 2400 luxury suppliers/exhibitors attending the 4 day event and as part of my invitation I have to set up meetings with 100 of them. Here's the problem, I don't know how to prioritize who to meet with (you have to rank your preferences etc). Do I meet with suppliers that I already use, but may not have met in person? Do I try and meet potential suppliers based on what i think my clients may want to do in the future? Do I meet with country's tourism organisations to learn about new tourism regions or trends? Do I meet with organisations that I'd personally like to experience/visit myself? I just dont know how to choose (as i want to visit them all). I have done a quick skim through the first 250 on the list and already pencilled in 75 appointments which is when i knew I was in trouble. So, Im calling out to anyone that has been to ILTM Cannes before for some advice on how to pick and choose, how to pace myself and any "must visit" booths? #ILTMCannes #LuxuryTravel #TravelAgent

Abu Dhabi event organizers are exempt from paying tourism fees on ticket sales until December 31, 2024, as announced by authorities on Friday. The Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi) has prolonged the waiver of fees related to issuing, distributing, and promoting event tickets within the emirate, aiming to further stimulate growth within the sector. Typically, the tourism tax amounted to 10% of ticket sales. Saleh Mohammed Al Geziry, director-general of tourism at DCT Abu Dhabi, stated, "Extending the waiver of tourism fees until the year's end is part of our endeavor to expedite our growth and provide continuous support to our event partners and organizers, who play a crucial role in the tourism and entertainment landscape of the emirate." Event organizers must adhere to the Abu Dhabi Events Licensing System's regulations to obtain event licenses. Furthermore, they are required to report revenues from their events, submit financial statements as evidence, and collaborate with revenue auditors or designated individuals from DCT Abu Dhabi to ensure the accuracy of their financial declarations. #AbuDhabi #Tourism #Tax #Tickets

Couldn't ask for better company to share a massive Emirati seafood feast in Aweer than our VIP Pass members, some of whom even rolled down from Abu Dhabi! These are the familiar faces I get the pleasure of seeing again and again. It's intentional. We spend a lot of time thinking about how to bring people back. About 40% of our guests are locals or their visiting buddies. Loyalty programs aren’t really common with tour operators—or maybe I'm just not aware of them. Most are banking on a steady flow of new visitors to a city. It seems like a lost opportunity, especially in Dubai where the population is majority expatriate. Many are eager to find ways of exploring their new home. Many more get visitors throughout the year who they need to 'offload' to someone trusted to show them around.
