Exploring Urban Development in Stockholm City Center We Pia Pakarinen recently had the opportunity to join an insightful study trip to Stockholm, organized by Helsingin seudun kauppakamari - Helsinki Region Chamber of Commerce and the City of Helsinki's Urban Environment Division and Economic Development Department Ilppo Soininvaara. The two-day program focused on strategies for revitalizing city centers and adapting to evolving economic and social dynamics. Highlights: -Meaningful Places for Locals: Emphasizing livability, creating spaces that resonate with the city’s inhabitants and workers including international talent. -Transport and Mobility: A shift towards sustainable transport was evident, with Stockholm’s initiatives increase in cycling infrastructure and piloting car-free zone. However, the principle is not to ban cars, but to make other options more attractive. -Reimagining Spaces: Efforts to breathe new life into underutilized spaces, such as the revitalization of Sergels Torg and projects to reopen previously closed office buildings to the public. A big thanks especially to Lars Strömgren, Stockholm's Vice Mayor, who took us a short tour around the city. EQUILIS Belgium obtains permit for innovative project in #Gilly prioritizing affordable housing.   We're happy to announce that our project aimed at providing economically accessible housing, situated in Gilly, got its permit from the authorities. With #KISSS (Keep It Simple and So Smart), our inclusive concept, we are reshaping the real estate offer to better serve a significant segment of buyers.   "We aim to address a societal issue," explains Luc Parmentier, CEO Equilis Belgium. "It is the first project of this kind for Equilis Group. We start in the suburb of Charleroi, but the goal is to replicate this concept in other major cities in Belgium and in Europe."   We intend to build 18 houses and 69 apartments in Gilly.
