This week, we're celebrating the rich history and natural beauty of Steese National Conservation Area in Alaska, which protects over 1.2 million acres of public lands. Designated in 1980, the Steese NCA is home to incredible wildlife, including moose, caribou, and over 200 bird species! 🦌🦅 As the ancestral home of the Dene people, the Steese NCA holds vast cultural and historical significance, with sacred sites deeply valued by Indigenous communities. 🌊🐧 On this World Penguin Day, we highlight the Galápagos Penguin, the world's only northerly penguin species found exclusively in the Galápagos islands. However, these penguins are facing challenges such as declining populations due to changing ocean conditions and the presence of introduced predators. 🌎 As we commemorate World Penguin Day, let's also recognize the importance of conservation efforts to protect these amazing birds and their marine ecosystem. Global collaboration and local commitment are essential to ensuring a secure future for the Galápagos Penguins. 🔗 https://lnkd.in/euXJJfWF

☘️Home Gardens, School Gardens, Community Garderns they are the best source of Plant based foods; 🍀At our Organization Youth On Board Organization (YOBO) We do similar work by working with schools and communities on green initiatives. ☘️We promote school gardens and Community garderns through permaculture garderns. We have seen tremendous progress and change. 🌳Here are Permaculture Principles 🎯Permaculture Mimics Nature Permaculture designs systems that imitate natural ecosystems, fostering a harmonious relationship between humans and the environment. 🎯Biodiversity Promotion It encourages a diverse range of plants and animals, which enhances resilience and productivity within agricultural systems. 🎯Soil Health Improvement By focusing on organic practices, permaculture improves soil structure and fertility, leading to healthier crops. 🎯Environmental Protection Permaculture practices help conserve water, reduce waste, and minimize chemical use, contributing to overall environmental sustainability. 🎯Food Security Enhancement Through sustainable practices and local food production, permaculture increases food availability and accessibility for communities. 🤝🏾If we work together we can achieve greater results. Did you know that the area of private gardens cover a larger area than nature reserves combined? 🌿 Private gardens can become mini nature reserves, supporting a variety of wildlife. Studies show that gardens collectively can host up to 25% of the UK’s bumblebee population and attract over 50% of the country's bird species. Additionally, private gardens can enhance air quality and water management. 👏🏻 Credit: Tamma Carel (PIEMA, FIIRSM, MSc, BSc) & Oliver Dauert

AMAZON , Don’t destroy AMAZON Our forests are disappearing at an alarming rate. Over the past few decades, we've witnessed the devastating impact of deforestation, with millions of acres of lush, vibrant ecosystems being cleared for various purposes. This alarming trend not only destroys the natural habitats of countless species but also contributes to climate change, soil erosion, and the disruption of vital water cycles. It's time we take action to protect and restore our precious forests and oceans and finally Earth before it's too late. NATO or other Organizations are also responsible for protecting our forests and oceans and all humanity with peace . They should respect to all thoughts without considering racism and finally developing to keep our planet Earth . We have no other place to live as alternative except Earth . What if we did nothing? In a recent study, the African Rhino Specialist Group (AfRSG) took a look at the IUCN Green Status for the black rhino, which measures how close a species is to being fully ecologically functional across its range and how much it has recovered thanks to conservation actions. Check out our summary of their findings in our latest blog. https://lnkd.in/eSqMHMxC

"As a distinct subspecies, these elephants are unique to the island of Borneo and part of our natural heritage. Their classification as Endangered underscores the urgency of collaborative conservation actions such as the management of human-elephant conflict and coexistence, and the prevention of further habitat loss and fragmentation — both of which are crucial for safeguarding their future survival."
