Conservation Lands Foundation’s Post

This week, we're celebrating the rich history and natural beauty of Steese National Conservation Area in Alaska, which protects over 1.2 million acres of public lands. Designated in 1980, the Steese NCA is home to incredible wildlife, including moose, caribou, and over 200 bird species! 🦌🦅 As the ancestral home of the Dene people, the Steese NCA holds vast cultural and historical significance, with sacred sites deeply valued by Indigenous communities.
