As of today, January 8, 2025, I will stop updating my current Udemy courses. If you have purchased one of my courses on Udemy PRIOR TO TODAY, please reach out with your name, date of purchase, or a screenshot of the receipt/your console, and I can get you migrated over to my new site.
Note: Udemy for Business people, I'm sorry, but you don't apply. Convince your company to buy some courses. 😉 Also, this is an unconditional deadline. If you go and purchase the course today and reach out, I will not migrate you.
All current courses will remain up, I'm not pulling anything. The content that's there is honestly probably good for another several years, but it's time to focus on my own site.
Why?
1. MTC Interactive Skills Grader (Name pending...): I'll be building future content around the idea that you will complete hands-on, graded activities. This feature will be public soon!
2. The technology on Learnworlds, my new LMS, is miles better than Teachable and a lot better than Udemy. My courses are being built around these features and the experience will be diminished on Udemy.
3. Udemy's AI is trash and may lead to bad information and bad habits. I don't feel like troubleshooting against an AI bot. If there is a desire for an AI chatbot on my material, let me know and I'll prioritize the request!
4. Lots and lots of other reasons and 4 years worth of problems. I love the community it brought me, and I'll continue releasing small courses and things to Udemy to continue building that community, but I won't be updating my flagship courses there.
Once again, the content is still there and you can still purchase it, but it will not be receiving updates. So, consider that the difference in price.
Thanks for coming to my Ted talk. You've all been so awesome over the years and I can't wait to see where this journey goes!
