We have been pushing for IT-specific reforms to bring more and more of these into Pakistan.  India holds 46% of all the global Captive offices... thats approx 1800 offices, with 1.9 million staff. Another 500 captive offices are expected to open in India within the next 2 years, employing another 360,000 people. Pakistan can create an upheaval by reducing its Payroll taxes to 5% for the tech industry removing barriers to the free flow of foreign exchange for the tech sector, and ensuring a single Vertical Facilitator for the tech industry, disallowing any other regulator to even come close to the tech companies.

At one of the well-known supermarkets in Mogadishu, located outside the Green Zone and frequented by everyday shoppers, I paid $8.40 for a single liter of Almarai - المراعي milk. This same product, produced in Saudi Arabia, retails for just $1.84 in the Saudi market. I was stunned by the disparity, and no matter how I calculated the costs—importation, taxes, and other expenses—I couldn’t justify such a steep retail price in our local market. It’s important to note that Somalia is heavily reliant on imports from around the world and produces very little domestically. Milk, in particular, is a high-demand product in Mogadishu, yet the market lacks stable suppliers capable of meeting this demand with sufficient imports.
