Conversant’s Post

In our conversations with leaders all over the world, we often hear about the challenges of leading in a matrix, leading cross functional teams and influencing others' decisions. One of the common denominators in all of these challenges is the ability to influence or lead when you do not necessarily have positional authority or power. As we each grow in our roles as leaders, moving from managing a direct team to leading others requires some additional skills. In response to these ever-present challenges, in January we are going to be gathering with a group of leaders to discuss these challenges and the skills we think are critical. Check out Roger HendersonRobin Anselmi talking about the critical skills of leading without authority: Listening to Learn, Emotional Agility, and Purpose Driven Conversations and Feedback.   Email Roger Henderson at rhenderson@conversant.com for more info. #Purposefulleader #emotionalagility #purpose #feedback #listentolearn #leadership

This is so timely! Just today, I carved out an hour to revisit my values, my vision for my career, my purpose statement, and my personal mission statement. I haven't felt this excited and connected to my career in a year; what a great reminder about the vitality purposeful leadership brings. Miss you folks.
