💬 As we conclude our Insider Quotes series, we are excited to feature one more quote from Dr. Susanne Winter, Director Forest Policy at WWF Deutschland: 🌿 "The EUDR presents an opportunity for EU farmers and EU soya. EU farmers can relatively easily upload the relevant information in the EUDR information system and demonstrate compliance. This provides EU farmers a competitive advantage over imports from high-risk countries and serves as a kind of assurance for EUDR compliance for soya buyers." 📌 Find out how Donau Soja certification helps EU farmers to take advantage of these opportunities and help meet compliance with the EU Deforestation Regulation. Visit our website for more details and resources: https://lnkd.in/db3Y66Zx Together, we can create a sustainable and competitive agricultural landscape in Europe. 🌍 #DonauSoja #EuropeSoya #Sustainability #Agriculture #Deforestation #EUDR #WWFGermany #ForestPolicy #EUFarmers #CompetitiveAdvantage #EcoFriendly #FutureOfFarming Photo credits: Daniel Seiffert, WWF

❗ Are you prepared for the coming EU Deforestation Regulation? Companies must act now to ensure deforestation-free and low-carbon supply chains, making standards like Donau Soja essential. Our compliance with national legislation and traceability to the plot are already part of the Donau Soja and Europe Soya standards. 💡 Those who choose Donau Soja and Europe Soya to meet the criteria of the EUDR can also benefit from the proven significantly lower carbon footprint - up to 90% lower - associated with Donau Soja and Europe Soya certified soya. The standard requirements of Donau Soja and Europe Soya go far beyond the EUDR in terms of deforestation- and conversion-free cultivation, with a cut-off date of 2008. ➡️ This means that Donau Soja and Europe Soya help to provide the necessary information for the #EUDR information requirements as well as the Due Diligence Statement. Running until 22 March, this year's International Cotton Conference Bremen (https://lnkd.in/g2Ck8XW) will once again bring together a high-calibre audience for high-level expert discussions on issues relating to cotton and its supply chain as well as the link between scientific research and practical application. 🌍🔬👥 Tina Stridde, Managing Director of the Aid by Trade Foundation, had the pleasure of taking part in a panel discussion on Wednesday hosted by the Bremen based cotton trader Otto Stadtlander GmbH on the topic of "From Standard to Farm to Spinning, Regenerative Agriculture everywhere". 🌱💬Together with Onur Ucak (Uçak Tekstil, Turkey) and Muhammad Nasir Sohail (Khudabux Enterprises, Pakistan), Tina Stridde discussed interesting questions and developments in the field of #RegenerativeAgriculture. Tina particularly emphasised the increasing importance of sustainably produced cotton against the backdrop of rising consumer awareness, government due diligence requirements and ESG goals. Together with Onur Ucak, she explained to the participants of the panel discussion how this results in the increasing attractiveness of sustainably produced cotton among brands. In this context, Tina also drew attention to the importance of the new AbtF Regenerative Cotton Standard (RCS) for the sustainable production of cotton and emphasised the innovative goals of RCS. With its criteria, it aims to improve overall resilience and productivity of small-scale farming communities while adding value to farmland, rural communities, the biosphere, and the quality of farm animals against the background of the challenges posed by climate change, in order to ensure the long-term viability of the cotton sector. Thanks to Maximilian Daebel of Otto Stadtlander GmbH for the excellent moderation of the discussion and for hosting the panel as well as to the organisers of the International Cotton Conference Bremen for the great opportunity to participate in this highly interesting panel discussion. 👏 #InternationalCottonConference #CottonIndustry #SupplyChain #RegenerativeAgriculture #SustainableCotton #ESGGoals #AbtFRegenerativeCottonStandard #ClimateChange #SmallScaleFarming #Resilience #Sustainability #RegenerativeCottonStandard #CottonMadeInAfrica #Regenagri
