Three common misconceptions of Ramadan 1. ‘No one does any work’ - We’ve heard this a few times last week and we have to disagree, in what we do - We feel hiring managers are still active and recruitment is still going on. If anything a lot of managers are building in the ‘quieter’ period to come out and into spring in a stronger position than how they went into it. 2. ‘We can’t do anything during Ramandan’ Again, this is quite a fallacy. Almost all areas are open to the public, restaurants are serving food, there are no blinds / shutters - you’re able to play music in public - most amenities and attractions are open just double check the timings before you set off! 3. ‘We’re going to get arrested if we show a bit of ankle/wrist’ 🙄 You’re really not, the UAE and its rulers have relaxed Ramadan a lot since we moved here 8 years ago and it’s an incredibly tolerate place, just please be respectful/conservative on clothing/music/eating times/calling times and we would highly suggest being sensitive on booking meetings. Why not suggest an Iftar instead? One of our favourite Iftar pictures below ⬇️ Info@cordell-partners.com

Peculiarities of Working During Ramadan Ramadan is the month of fasting, prayer, reflection, and community ☪️ This is one of the most significant holidays for anyone in the GCC. Businessmen are not the exception. Thus, their workflow changes. Our DK Global team knows how to make the most of it and help them focus on this important cultural occasion 📈 Officially, during Ramadan people work for 2 hours less daily. As a result, they complete tasks to the fullest facing much stress 🧐 Meanwhile, the overall percentage of business meetings decreases, because they don’t usually match the fasting requirements of having no food or drinks from before the first light of dawn until the setting of the sun 🌅 So, Ramadan is not the right time for such events. However, it is perfect for other vital work aspects that are not usually in the first place. For instance, we recommend you focus on the strategy and make the most of planning ahead. You can conduct market research, work on your social selling, shape and polish your dream content plan, and create email newsletters ✉️ Also, if your company is international (or planning to become one), we advise you to devote yourself to the global market and strengthen your positions there. It will let you make the most of this period while being incredibly helpful to your Muslim colleagues. So, don’t hesitate to change your usual workflow and adapt it to the celebration! 💼 #Ramadan #team #TheUAE #workflow #adaptability
