The thrilling pitches from the next group of semi-finalists in the Startup Competition’s general category have just come to an exhilarating close! 🎉 Each participant had just seven minutes to captivate the jury and make a lasting impression. The startups that took the stage included: HOWCOW, FlexiPay, xTiles, Intelswift, Metatable.AI, Wild.Codes, if.team, VeraNet, Fintellect, Salesdep.ai, Pitch Avatar, BeautyBoostr, Aspichi Luminify, Bliss Brain, eXtra Vision, MARK, Tayra, SYLA, Apollo Copilot, and LeadForceTalent. A diverse range of innovations was showcased, spanning medicine, prosthetics, mental health, beauty, and more. 💡 The professional jury engaged actively, asking participants to evaluate potential competitors and share insights into their startups’ prospects. #MorningRant 📢 #DeepTech is not a sector, it is a characteristic on a venture’s technology stack. I’d like the ecosystem to consider how it labels ventures because it often creates the environment that actually confuses itself. Startupfest hosted the inaugural #HardTechFest which was a great addition to the event. #HardTech always gets a bad rap by investors for being more expensive to commercialize then software. The reality is that practically speaking it is actually less expensive to develop #hardware because there is an incredible amount of non-dilutive funding available for it that is not there for software. Hardware is HARDER however and I appreciate the moat that it develops for itself as a result.
