What measures should States Parties take to ensure that persons with disabilities can exercise their right to freedom of expression and access information in accessible formats? States Parties must ensure that people with disabilities can express themselves freely and access information on an equal basis with others. This includes providing accessible information in various formats without extra costs, supporting the use of sign languages, Braille, and other communication methods in official settings, encouraging businesses to offer accessible services and information, promoting accessibility in mass media, including online platforms, and recognizing the importance of sign languages. ⭐Inclusion is the foundation of an equitable society⭐ Today, 3 December, is International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDPD). Let’s take a moment to reflect on the steps we’ve taken toward inclusion and the strides we still need to make. Where do *YOU* think more efforts should be invested to include persons with disabilities? Here are a few areas to consider: - Arts - Commuting - Employment - Sports - Education - Something else that’s close to your heart? Share your thoughts in the comments section below or via the survey at www.spd.org.sg/unlabel today. Your feedback isn’t just valuable – it’s essential. Together, we can imagine and build better tomorrows, where everyone is a part of it, not apart from it. ----- One of the greatest barriers people with disabilities face is the attitudes of other people in labelling them. Organised in conjunction with the International Day of Persons with Disabilities every 3 December, UNLABEL challenges existing stereotypes, negative attitudes and mindsets, and show that people with disabilities have been defying stereotypes, one label at time. When I recently addressed the topic of vulnerable customers during an internal event, I found myself speaking spontaneously without any prepared statistics. Yet, the reality is that such people exist. They are present among customers, and they are present among employees. Could be age, could be financial, could be health problems. They perceive the world differently, and for them, it can sometimes be an overwhelming place filled with sounds, lights, queues, technology, procedures, and changing personnel. 👉Today, a statistic found me: one out of four people in the UK have a disability.. Not easy to reflect in CX and EX, I know. Yet, never too late to start designing better services are for all people. . #cx #ex #vulnerablecustomers #sensitivecustomers #customerexperience
