Wait ✋🛑 Before you overload a crane, consider looking into the safety factor of your machine! Though some parts of an overhead crane have built-in safety factors, this is not true of the entire crane system. For example, the crane may be attached to a building without those precautions. Be sure to triple-check these capabilities before overloading your crane! This can be the single most dangerous misconception about overhead cranes. Tandem lifting with cranes can be useful for lifting heavy objects or structures that are too large or heavy to be lifted by a single crane. ⚠ When the load is too heavy for a single piece of equipment, two cranes can safely distribute the weight. ⚠ When the load is too long or too wide, two cranes can provide anchor points that stabilize the load and prevent dangerous load swings. The crucial aspect of this type of operation is the simultaneous operation of the two devices. What are the factors to check while using the tandem lifting method? 1. You have to determine the center of gravity of the load before you attempt to lift the load. 2. The cranes' positions matter when lifting a huge load using the tandem method. 3. Sideloading must be avoided during tandem lifting/single lift. 4. Weight distribution is another factor we must consider while performing tandem lifts. 5. Wind speed, ground support, etc 6. A Qualified Lifting Plan must be approved and socialized to people involved in lifting operations. Any feedback from you all regarding this lifting plan? Let's review and learn together and have a great weekend! - DAS - #safeliftingoperations #tandemliftingoperations

A mobile crane is a hoisting apparatus that can move itself from location to location, with or without a load. Mobile cranes are useful for moving heavy loads over short distances. They are also used by construction and manufacturing companies as a cost-effective alternative to fixed cranes, since they can be rented as needed and moved between sites more easily. #safety #liftingoperations #safetyculture

Our ITW CRANES lattice boom crane load limiter stands out for its ease of use, facilitating operations for the crane operator by continuously monitoring the lifted load and the maximum load capacity. A graphical bar display shows the crane's load moment in various colours, changing according to the weight on the hook. When the maximum load is reached, the system emits an audible beep to alert the operator and sends a cut-off signal to stop the crane's movements. The cabin display shows the operator the following parameters: 🔴 Actual load. 🔴Maximum load. 🔴Boom radius. 🔴Current program. 🔴Colour bar graph with load moment. System features: 🔴User friendly operation 🔴Control 🔴Safety #cranes #overload #overloadprotection

Learn and Adapt to Maritime Industry 4.0. 🇵🇪⚓🚢 Heightening of STS Cranes. The trend towards larger vessels, driven by the pressure to achieve a lower cost per container move, is impacting quay crane performance. The ability of your terminal to serve larger vessels may be limited by the height of your existing equipment. cost-effective way to extend your terminal’s capabilities and optimise performance by helping you get more from the assets you alre.Spread your investment with crane lifetime extension. The average lifetime of an STS crane is around 25 years, depending on the number of moves it performs per year. Cranes that are heightened are typically between five and 15 years old. Extending the lifetime of your crane at the same time as increasing its height means you can spread your investment over a longer period. #Maersk #apmterminals #Containershipping #logistics #creane #PortAutomation #Sustainability #Port #Terminals #maritimeindustry #crane
