2024 will be the best trade fair year ever Messe Stuttgart GmbH closed its 2023 financial year much better than expected. With sales of 128.3 million euros and a positive result before variable rent and taxes of 0.7 million euros, the company has found its way back to success. The event calendar was well filled with 61 in-house and guest trade fairs. A total of 15,959 exhibitors presented their products and innovations in Stuttgart in 2023. 29 percent of them came from abroad. The number of visitors exceeded the million mark for the first time since the pandemic: 1,071,161 guests were counted, including 89,134 from abroad. The fact that some new products were launched, such as the Travel & Caravaning Hamburg trade fair, contributed to the success. For 2024, the trade fair company expects the highest sales financial year in its company history to date thanks to many trade fairs that fill the grounds.

🚚 On the Road: Conference Recap 🚚 Over the past few months, we’ve been busy attending key industry events, connecting with fleet managers, and showcasing our fleet data solutions. Here’s a quick recap:   1️⃣ Volkswagen Group Fleet International Konzern Forum Our very first trade fair booth! It was a proud moment for us as a team, presenting our solutions and connecting with fleet managers and software providers on a more personal level. The interest in our fleet data products was remarkable, and the conversations we had here set the tone for the rest of our road trip.   2️⃣ IAA Transportation We had the pleasure of collaborating with our colleagues at Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles, showcasing Fleet Interface Data on their booth. It was an exciting opportunity to demonstrate the power of data-driven solutions for fleet management.    3️⃣ Autoflotte Cupra Day Julian Burkhardt delivered an insightful keynote on "The Future of Fleet: Optimizing Fleet Management with Data-driven Solutions." His talk resonated strongly with attendees, especially as we shared our approach to transforming fleet management through data insights.   4️⃣ bfp FUHRPARK & MANAGEMENT FORUM At this event, we had the chance to discuss our entire fleet data portfolio with fleet managers from various industries. It was a great way to round off the trade fair month.   Our Key Takeaways: 🤲 Fleet managers need data to reduce the manual work of fleet management. 🌍 Co₂ and sustainability reporting are top priorities. 👩💻 Data’s value in fleet management has skyrocketed over the last year. 🎨 Fleet diversity (delivery, service, business) is driving the need for adaptable solutions.   Thank you to everyone who spoke with us! 50 Years in Business – The IAA – International Trade Fair (Post 36 of 50) With less than two weeks to go to this year’s IAA TRANSPORTATION International Trade Fair, we are busy preparing for what has become Europe’s largest commercial vehicle exhibition. Maple is delighted to be exhibiting once again at the prestigious road transport event, taking place in Hannover between 17th – 22nd September. The IAA has over 125 years of history, developing over the years from a simple product show, to become a fully integrated trade fair, covering the entire value-added chain for mobility, transport and logistics. It is not just the show itself that has evolved during that time – so too has organised criminal activity, which continues to blight European supply chains. To meet this challenge, Maple work closely with operators to advance our own security offering, ensuring our product range meets the requirements of today’s modern logistics operators. Uniquely, our product portfolio caters for all commercial vehicle specifications and door types, including shutter door, barndoor, refrigerated bodies and panel vans, which we look forward to demonstrating in Germany. 🚆 Berlin, Berlin… Is this really my 11th InnoTrans 😮? Believe it or not: it is! I was getting there in the year 2000 for the first time and now I will be back again next week. What are the take aways from such a long journey? 🔎 Couriosity: I never expected myself being interested in rail 🚃 at all. Today I know it is a very interesting industry and has so much more to offer when looking behind the scenes. 🏃♀️ Consistency: Being involved in a topic for so many years brings many benefits - for example to understand the bigger picture of the industry, knowing the major players and building up a strong network over time. 💡 Innovation: We brought digital innovations to the fair from day one and evolved many different possibilities over the years - always to the benefit of our customers. 🙌 Relations: Longterm relationships are priceless as they are the basis for a real trustworthy cooperation and finally a great result. 🌟 Fun: Thinking of all the memories and experiences we had with so many different people from all over the world - the week in Berlin was always something special and despite the hard work a lot of fun! It never stops… Last week was “busy” I guess? ✈️ We travelled 3 countries in 72 hours. From the cobblestone streets of Italy to the vibrant cities of Denmark and Germany where we visited some of our current customers and held meetings with potential new collaborations. Believe in the power of face-to-face connections. 🌎 We attended EuroCIS - The Leading Trade Fair for Retail Technology to expand our TAM and continue to work on improving our product for retail and hospitality. 🖥️ I had the pleasure to join Jan Kammerath and Ricarda Kies (CEO & CTO) from LODGEA GmbH on a webinar that dove deeper into their integration with Duda. 🏡 Officially became a home owner! (Not sure how this is last on the list) In a world where everything moves so fast. It’s essential sorround yourself with people who match your pace and amplify your impact. A Journey of Persistence and Dreams 🌟 Embarking on a quest to share the craftsmanship and elegance of Ron Cueva 1501 took us on an unexpected adventure. Our journey to Austria for the Tasting Days fair turned into a tale of resilience and determination. Starting from Denmark, our spirits were high, but fate had other plans. A car breakdown due to an add-blue system failure tested our resolve. With only 800 km left before the car might refuse to start, we swiftly changed vehicles, optimistic about the road ahead. Yet, challenges persisted. Around Hannover, the second car experienced a fuel injection error, limiting the engine's power. Towing it to a workshop, we faced uncertainty. However, our commitment to presenting Ron Cueva 1501 remained unshaken. A night in a hotel, a fixed car the next morning—our spirits were mended, and we resumed our journey to Austria. Despite the setbacks, we managed to arrive at the fair, albeit four hours later than planned. This journey mirrors the story of Ron Cueva 1501—a narrative of two brothers persisting through challenges, unwavering in their commitment to fulfill a dream. The odds were against us, but we stand resilient, sharing our passion for crafting dreams and bottling elegance. Join us on this journey where setbacks become steppingstones, and every challenge only strengthens our resolve.
