ORF Future: The need for better and more socially relevant PSM     Paul Clemens Murschetz March 21, 2024     I call for an independent ORF that, thanks to modern management structures and sustainable financing, concentrates on its core task: the production of public value, without party political influence.   But what exactly does public value mean today?   And how can this “added value” be understood not just as the “added value” of the same ORF offers, but as an innovative offer that is attractive to the audience and a clearly defined requirement that serves the common good?   The demands are quickly formulated: independence from politics (finally!), a high-quality program for everyone (“ORF for everyone”, with higher levels of participation from younger audiences), and economical management.

I've known Karim for several years from his time at Sundance and felt honored to be interviewed alongside so many other cultural organizers who are thinking critically about how we platform stories and storytellers.
