One of the key goals of the DRWO4.0 project is to engage a diverse range of stakeholders through the quadruple helix approach, linking science, policy, industry, and society. By establishing Pilot Environments (PEs) and fostering cross-sectoral connections, we aim to build capacity and drive innovation across the Danube region’s wood industry. This collaboration will be crucial in supporting SMEs and policy makers in adopting Industry 4.0 solutions. 🛠️🔗 #StakeholderEngagement #InnovationEcosystem #SMEs

To stimulate innovation, it is important—indeed, vital—to ensure interaction between the various stakeholders, including producers, researchers, and outreach agents, so that they can pool their ideas, opinions, and knowledge in order to solve the problems or meet the challenges they face. The European Union's Development Smart Innovation through Research in Agriculture (DeSIRA) initiative champions a multi-actor innovation partnership approach. This approach convenes diverse stakeholders to exchange ideas, combine resources, and drive coordinated innovation efforts. Recognizing the importance of skilled facilitators, #DeSIRA-LIFT designed a specific training program. This program equips facilitators with the skills to guide these partnerships towards achieving their chosen objectives. Read on: 🔗 https://bit.ly/3xId5b8 #Trees4Resilience

🌱FarmTech Society Update 2024🌱 1️⃣ Fifth Annual General Meeting — served as an excellent opportunity for our members to connect, discuss ideas and build new relationships. Two new executive board members, Stefanie Linzer & Rick Schneiders, elected earlier in the spring, were confirmed! With an updated strategic focus, the incoming board is now set to build a strong five-year roadmap to help mature the Controlled Environment Agriculture (CEA) sector. Growing Together - committed to continuing our mission as an inclusive and international CEA sectoral representation. 2️⃣Report from the Field Our Chair, RON MITCHELL, with over 30 years of experience as a grower and serial entrepreneur, addressed the “market correction” in Vertical Farming, noting the end of cheap, high-risk funding and fossil fuel energy. He emphasized the importance of nurturing innovation through challenging times and expressed confidence in successful entrepreneurs focused on profitable unit economics. Ron also highlighted the critical supportive role of the FTS network and invited more companies to engage more in upcoming FTS Knowledge Exchange Meetups. 👉 Join the group here to stay updated: https://lnkd.in/euvvZ76X Stay tuned for exciting updates from FTS as we continue to grow and innovate! 🚜🌿 #GreenTech2024 #CEA #SustainableAgriculture #FarmTechSociety #CircularEconomy #FutureOfFarming #ControlledEnvironmentAgriculture Thomas Zoellner
