Continuing my series posts defining patent terms, today’s word is: “INVENTOR”: a person who conceived of, or contributed to the conception of, an Invention (defined in my previous post: https://lnkd.in/echeJFeg). Exemplary usage: Mr. Peltz conceptualized the improved pollinator drone, qualifying him as an inventor on the patent. (Note: Simply reducing an invention (conceived by someone else) to practice does not make one an inventor in the U.S. (See MPEP §2109). Questions and comments welcome!
