Partnerships Built on Trust and Shared Vision
A great capture from Iain Malloy from Infratec, showcasing the solar farm build underway at New Plymouth Airport. Iain shared this image knowing how much we value these moments, not just for their beauty but for what they represent in our partnership.
Working alongside Infratec on projects like this reaffirms our commitment to securing New Zealand’s renewable energy sites. There’s a lot that goes on behind the scenes, and it’s moments like these that remind us why we do what we do – supporting our clients as they pave the way toward a sustainable future.

New interim findings from the Aldersgate Group , RenewableUK , and CPRE The countryside charity , show that the planning system for energy infrastructure needs increased strategic direction, stronger resourcing, and improved engagement to deliver net zero whilst protecting landscapes and nature.
Key findings:
- Polling released alongside the interim report finds that the public support further investment in renewable energy:
- 64% of those polled support investment in renewable energy.
- 60% believe their local MP should advocate for further renewable energy development

🌟Meet the Team🌟
Development Director - Mike Kelly📈
Mike’s 28 years of experience in consultancy and developing renewable energy projects positions him perfectly within AquaGen365 to identify business opportunities and support the delivery of bespoke solutions for clients💼
⭐What are your main goals for AquaGen365 this year?⭐
‘We’re looking to raise awareness of the benefits and the opportunity for floating solar. RSK Group has strong connections within the sectors that could benefit from the technology, including the water industry, and we are looking to build on these to help floating solar take off across Europe.’
⭐What challenges do you face in developing floating solar technology?⭐
‘The technology is established and well proven. One of the biggest challenges we face is securing consents. This is a mainstream technology in Asia, and we want to make it the same here in the UK and beyond. At AquaGen365, through our deep knowledge of consenting we recognise that meaningful stakeholder engagement, adherence to best practice, and minimising impacts through design and mitigation will be essential for the successful roll out of the technology.’
⭐What do you see as the main benefits of floating solar?⭐
'Above all, the technology generates a low-cost renewable form of energy that can either be exported to the national electricity grid or used directly on site where it is generated. However, there are other inherent benefits which include the preservation of valuable agricultural and commercial land, significant reduction in surface water evaporation, reuse of brownfield land/water, and potential reduction in algal blooms. What excites me the most about the technology is the potential it has to help significant energy users like water companies, and those that are considered “hard to decarbonise”, like industrial operations, to access renewable energy directly.’

"The shift to renewable energy is not only an environmental imperative but also an economic opportunity. Investing in clean energy creates jobs and drives innovation." ~ Barack Obama
We are pleased to present the eighth episode of our ongoing series, "Sustainable Journeys," which delves into the innovative strides of Goldfinch Solar in the realm of sustainable energy. Goldfinch Solar stands as a pioneering force, marking a significant leap towards a cleaner and greener future.
Situated in Mason County, Kentucky, USA this ambitious project is set to encompass approximately 2,000 acres and will be interconnected with the North Clark County-Hugh L Spurlock 345 kV Line, with a projected power generation capacity of 250 Megawatts. Supported by a substantial investment of $280 million, Goldfinch Solar represents not just a project, but a beacon of the profound impact that investment in sustainable initiatives can yield.
The driving force behind this groundbreaking project is Goldfinch Solar, LLC, a subsidiary of National Grid Renewables. This project is anticipated to commence in 2024, and is slated for commercial operation by 2025. Beyond its impressive scale, the Goldfinch Solar Project is strategically aligned with various U.S. federal tax incentives, including the Renewable Electricity Production Tax Credit (PTC), Investment Tax Credit (ITC), Residential Energy Credit, and Modified Accelerated Cost-Recovery System (MACRS). These incentives, coupled with recent legislative milestones such as the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act and the Inflation Reduction Act, are driving unprecedented investments in clean energy solutions across the nation.
However, Goldfinch Solar's mission transcends mere infrastructure development; it aspires to cultivate a sustainable ecosystem where rural communities flourish, and access to affordable clean energy proliferates. We cordially invite you to participate in the discourse and share your valuable insights if you have been involved in renewable energy projects.
Together, let us pave the way towards a brighter, more sustainable future.🌍💡Stay tuned for more enlightening episodes as we explore the sustainable frontiers and pave the way for a brighter tomorrow. 🌎🔆

Please note that investment risks do apply, private investing is highly risky. Please do your research as you consider making an investment.
This has been the first time in Pakistan, that an entity has managed to attract such nature of bids for renewable projects, resulting in a big milestone for the country. This also is a testament towards the comfort that investors place in working with KE and endorses the company’s credibility as a very good credit and paymaster, having a great potential to attract investment into the country. The success of these Projects would have a lasting impact in changing the energy landscape of the country towards sustainable and low-cost power generation sources. The response received thus far further endorse privatization, and its potential to attract investment across the power value chain

Good beginning. However K-Electric as a forward looking organization should have added 500 MW renewables in the last 7-8 years that could have saved a few billion dollars for consumers (and good for the environment) thus lowering the tariff.
