I coach from the mindset of a very successful IRONMAN athlete. I’ve experienced the work that needs to be put in to achieve greatness. I’ve crossed the finish line as an elite performer. I’ve found myself wondering, “Is this it?” I’ve struggled to celebrate the wins and the moments. Today, I’m coaching the businesses we serve to achieve elite results, to do the work, and to celebrate the wins along the way. #batonrouge #greenville #neworleans #phoenix #tulsa #businesscoaching #leadershipdevelopment

Leadership comes in many forms. For me I believe that guiding folks to meet thier goals is most important. This is true both in sport and in life. Holding somone back because you don’t want them to get hurt or feel disappointed is a disservice not only to them but the organization as a whole! Failure is inevitable… those who learn from that and get back up will find success as long as they are surrounded by leaders who recognize this and give them the bandwidth to learn and grow. “The King” was a winner in many different ways during his lifetime, on and off the golf course. Class, style, and rooted in real life - which made him so popular with the masses. Having an attitude like this one will keep your inner fire lit, especially when you think you won’t be successful at something. Arnie is my all-time favorite golfer, and I’ve included some jewels of his in my new book, “Twist the Familiar.” Whether or not you play or even like golf, it doesn’t matter - he said many things that are useful to people in many situations. #motivationalspeaker #twistthefamiliar #motivational #Arnie #leadership #businesscoach #leadershipcoach #salescoach #success #winning #training

Think about one of your greatest fears. SHARK! For many, being in the middle of the ocean and seeing dorsal fins swimming towards you would have to be at the top of any list. SHARK! With the Catalina Classic approaching, Tyler Garfield and his crew Michael Collins Psy.D. Gabriel Lipps faced a daunting moment during a 20-mile training paddle when they saw dorsal fins swimming towards them. Tyler's response to handling this fear is real and authentic. What I loved was how he wanted to check in on his crew. As a leader, having your team’s back is always important. These guys all have each other's back. Pretty special when you’re 9 miles off shore. Leaning into the discomfort of FEAR, has taken on an entirely new meaning. The video is a little long (3:00), but worth the listen. If you're a leader, what's your take? #leadership #coaching #transformation #positiveintelligence #mentalfitness #predictiveindex #coactive #team #highperformingteams

Golf is like lifeand business leadership. Watching the US Open reminded me how crucial it is to stay composed under pressure. One golfer's meltdown was a stark contrast to another's steadfastness, reflecting the importance of resilience and focus in leadership. Just like in golf, in business, it's how you handle the rough patches that define your success. #leadership #coachjeffgarrett #executivecoaching

Every milestone tells a story. I recently competed in a 100km triathlon, and one of the most important things I have learned is that completing a 100km triathlon is not just about reaching the finish line. It’s about reflecting on the progress made along the way. This event was a personal triumph, significantly improving from my last half Ironman. It’s proof that effort and focus lead to measurable growth. For me, this is part of the journey toward a full Ironman—a goal that feels closer with every milestone achieved. What milestones have you hit this year, and how are they shaping your next big challenge? #JGuiffant #Milestones #Leadership #TriathlonTraining

The Swimmer's Body Illusion 🏊♂️ In The Art of Thinking Clearly, Rolf Dobelli explains how we confuse cause and effect. Swimmers don’t just get their physiques from swimming—they’re chosen because their natural body shape gives them an edge. The lesson? Success isn’t just about copying others. Recognize the unseen factors behind the results. What illusions have shaped your perspective? Share your thoughts! #CriticalThinking #GrowthMindset #Leadership

When I first started playing golf years ago, I took lessons from Jesse Blackwelder, a highly successful and recognized collegiate golf coach. I only took five lessons from him, and he was so good at the process that even now when I start hitting a ball poorly, I can go through that process he gave me (I still remember it today!) to get back on track. That process gives me confidence that I can hit a good shot again. Because of it, I'm able to take myself through the EDGE Method as if he were standing right next to me. Now that I think back, that’s probably why he was such a highly recognized coach. #LeadershipDevelopment #CoachingSuccess #PersonalGrowth #TeamEmpowerment #ProfessionalDevelopment #RefinedCompletions

Embracing Challenges on and off the Course 🏌️♀️⛳️ There’s nothing quite like the moment of impact—it's where skill meets challenge and the outcome is anything but certain. This shot, captured amidst the raw beauty of the course, is a reminder of the grit and determination that golf teaches us. In golf, as in life, it's not just about how you handle the fairways but also how you manage the rough. Each shot can be a lesson in adaptability, precision, and perseverance. This particular shot from a challenging lie wasn't just about getting the ball out of the sand; it was about setting the stage for a comeback. Whether you're facing a tough shot or a tough day at the office, the principles remain the same: Evaluate the landscape - Understand the challenges and obstacles. Choose your tools wisely - Whether it's a club or a business strategy. Execute with confidence - Trust your skills and your preparation. To my fellow golfers and professionals, remember, great achievements come from embracing the challenges and pushing through adversity. Let’s keep swinging, no matter where we find ourselves. #GolfLife #Leadership #Resilience #Sportsmanship #ProfessionalGrowth #ChallengeAccepted #GolfTips

2moGreat message, Cullen! How many of us hard chargers are guilty of this idiotic mistake of not enjoying where we’re currently at! It really does take effort and consciousness around it but it’s so important. Thanks for the post.
