Happy International Youth Day! Let us share how Youth can engage in climate actions in our respective countries. The Youth must be at the forefront in advocating for climate justice and also sensitizing the communities on environmental and climate change issues. Engaging young people in policy advocacy and community mobilization is essential for addressing the most pressing environmental challenges. As Young Innovators and Entrepreneurs, we are familiar with innovative approaches and this makes us the best stakeholder to engage on Green Technology, Sustainable Businesses, and most of all Research and Development. Youth are not just the future- they are also the present. We must take leadership roles in government, NGOs, Youth-Led Organizations, and other institutions to drive the change we want to see. Our involvement and leadership in these spaces are crucial for a sustainable future and climate justice. And also, don’t forget to like and share this post. 😉 Pan African Climate Justice Alliance PACJA Consortium for climate Change Ethiopia (CCC-E) The Youth Print #InternationalYouthDay#YouthForSustainability#DigitalInnovation#ClimateJustice#YouthAdvocacy#SustainableDevelopment#DigitalPathways#YouthLeadership#ClimateAction#MobilizeYouth

We know that #ClimateAction is a moral duty, particularly when consider those countries and communities who contributed least to the #climatecrisis are - and will be - impacted the most. Moreover, as a threat multiplier, climate change will amplify gender and other social inequalities in all countries. Human rights are being compromised by the impacts of climate change. Nows thanks to #KlimaSeniorinnen and the latest verdict by the European Court of Human Rights, climate action is a legal duty. We are heading in the right direction (on many fronts) but we still need to accelerate and scale mitigation and adaptation action across the board! #ClimateJustice #GenderJustice #HumanRights #ECtHR

Due to geographic location, economic vulnerability, and a dependency on natural resources, many countries in the south are disproportionately affected by climate change. This day is an opportunity to highlight the urgent need for climate action and the power of committing to working together to build resilience, promote sustainable development, and ensure climate justice for all. 🌍 South-South cooperation is a manifestation of solidarity among people and countries of the South 🤝 that contributes to their national well-being, their national and collective self-reliance, and the attainment of internationally agreed development goals. As a humanitarian and development organization, CARE works in the global south and across the world with local partners through humanitarian action, development programs, and advocacy work to address climate change and empower communities. 🧡 Learn more about CARE's work and impact around the globe at https://lnkd.in/gZsnteWt CARE's Climate Justice work can be found at www.careclimatechange.org #InternationalDayforSouthSouthCooperation #ClimateJustice #SDGs

DEFENDERS OF ASIA AND PACIFIC, RISE FOR CLIMATE AND SOCIAL JUSTICE AND AGAINST MILITARISM! ✊ There is no climate justice if there is no accountability on wealthy nations that fuel wars and allow militarization that continues to threaten the welfare of vulnerable groups, displace communities, and affect the biodiversity of the planet. It is high time that we expose corporations who continue to promote greenwashing and rich nations who continue to protect their profit-driven interests. We must strengthen our global alliance and join in solidarity with workers, farmers, fisherfolk, indigenous groups, women, youth, and environmental defenders who stand at the forefront of this struggle. 📰 Read APNED’s statement on the Global Day of Action for Climate Justice: https://lnkd.in/esmZRaeB #ClimateJusticeNow #RiseForClimate #EndClimateImperialism
