🎉 SACCORD ━ Creative Skills Project SACCORD Starts in Matera
As a proud consortium partners of SACCORD, Petr Perinka and I, were delighted to meet other consortium partners in person for the first time in Matera, Italy from 30-31 January 2024, for the kick-off of this transformational creative skills project aimed to strengthen and support skills ecosystems within the Cultural and Creative Sector Industries (CCSI) both at European and regional level.
Blown away by the breath-taking views of ancient dwellings carved into the rockface of the Sassi district, SACCORD partners cast their minds the future of this cutting-edge endeavour, mapping key dates, actions and deliverables that the project aims to achieve over its two-year span.
The SACCORD project has five main aims:
1. To support the Creative Pact for Skills also known as the Large-Scale Partnership (LSP), in the running of its assembly and working groups.
2. To initiate Local Ecosystem Partnerships (LEPs) putting creative skills development firmly on the agenda at regional level specifically in Italy, Upper-Austria, Amsterdam and Prague.
3. Increasing data intelligence on upskilling and reskilling within the CCSI and collaborating with the CYANOTYPES project.
4. Exploring the potential of micro-credentials and new learning pathways to support CCSI stakeholders.
5. CoordinatingCo-ordinating Creative Skills Week 2024 (Amsterdam) and Creative Skills Week 2025 (Prague) – curating the main programme and accompanying satellite events.
Preparations are already underway for Creatives Skills Week 2024 and dates will be announced soon. There will be plenty of opportunities to join interactive workshops, plenary sessions, networking moments and a whole lot more. More details to follow shortly.
The SACCORD consortium is made up of eight partners based around Europe, these include: CreativeFED (EFCE), Materahub, HKU, ELIA, BEDA - The Bureau of European Design Associations, CREARE, Federatie Creatieve Industrie, and us from Creative Prague.
