Our fundraiser, Fresh Starts Begin With Clean Clothes, was created to ensure we can continue bringing free mobile laundry services to those in need across Los Angeles. Clean clothes can transform lives—increasing school attendance, helping individuals secure employment, and restoring self-worth. Every donation, big or small, will make a meaningful impact. A few sobering stats from the "Household Food Insecurity in Canada, 2022"◽ report: ◾ 22.9% of households in Newfoundland and Labrador experienced some degree of food insecurity in the previous 12 months, amounting to 116,000 people. ◾ This is the highest rate in any of the ten provinces in Canada. ◾ 28.8% of children under 18 in Newfoundland and Labrador lived in food-insecure households.
