We are officially one week out from DBU Giving Day! Giving Day is our annual 24-hour fundraising event that allows you to directly impact the lives of DBU students. These funds go directly to student scholarships, athletic teams, departments, colleges, and the areas of greatest need around campus. Your gift enables us to achieve our mission to provide Christ-centered higher education to students from all walks of life and continue to produce servant-leaders committed to transforming the world. Here is how you can partner with us on Giving Day to support DBU: 1. Go to dbu.edu/giving-day on May 2nd 2. Select the area that you are most passionate about (if you are not sure, we recommend donating to the area of greatest need) 3. Choose an amount that you are comfortable with (every single gift counts) 4. Complete your donation and watch as your generosity transforms lives 5. Spread the news and encourage others to participate! As we approach May 2nd, we encourage you to consider your role on this important day! Mark this date on your calendar or make a gift early at dbu.edu/giving-day.

💡 This Giving Tuesday, let’s close the achievement gap in education! 💡 As a parent of twins in the NYC public school system, I’ve experienced how challenging it can be to navigate the system and ensure every child has access to the resources they need. I’ve also seen how inequities in education can hold kids back simply because of where they live or the resources available to their teachers. That’s why I’m proud to serve as a facilitator with Inspiring Educators, where we work to empower school teachers and administrators with tools, training, and strategies to transform their classrooms and communities. This work helps bridge the achievement gap and gives every child a chance to thrive. This Giving Tuesday, I invite you to support this mission. Your donation can help expand programs that uplift educators and create lasting change for students everywhere. Every dollar we raise goes directly to the IE Equity Fund, providing grants and scholarships to make our training accessible to high-need, underfunded schools, districts, and organizations. Three ways you can support IE during this season of giving: 1️⃣ Donate if you are able. We have secured a match on all donations so every dollar will be DOUBLED! https://lnkd.in/eUXbdGE9 2️⃣ Spread the word. Share our posts on here to remind your network of the essential work that educators do every day and the urgent need to support them. 3️⃣ Connect us to new friends and supporters. Do you know someone who would be excited about our mission and interested in supporting it? Put us in touch or send them this link: https://lnkd.in/ejbfgQ3K Oh... wait, there's a 4th thing. 4️⃣ Thank an educator. Always, always, thank an educator 👏 💛 #GivingTuesday #EducationForAll #CloseTheGap #InspiringChange

Celebrating 3 Years of Impact: Your Gift, Their Future 💙 As we embark on year three of College Knowledge Foundation, I’m so grateful for the support we’ve received and the lives we’ve touched. Our mission remains clear—to provide students with the knowledge and resources they need to succeed in their college journey, especially those who need it most. But we can’t do it alone. That’s why we’ve launched our "Your Gift, Their Future" campaign. And here’s the truth: you don’t need to give a large donation to make a big difference. Even small monthly donations, like $5.99 or $9.99, help us cover travel costs to schools, provide essential resources, and fund scholarships for students who might otherwise not have access to college. Plus, your donations are tax-deductible, so not only are you supporting our students' futures, but you’re also benefiting when tax time rolls around. Together, let’s make an impact—one small gift at a time. Thank you for helping us pave the way for these students’ futures. Please feel free to share this with your networks. Your Gift, Their Future starts now! #donate #nonprofit #SupportEducation #YourGiftTheirFuture #collegeknowledgefoundation Donate: https://lnkd.in/egp_88Pw...

For most of us, it's probably not normal to spend our own money just to do our job. For teachers, unfortunately it is. Teachers spend an average of $860 out of pocket on school supplies each year so their students won’t go without. At AdoptAClassroom.org, we help teachers get the funding they need to equip students with essential learning tools and materials, without having to dig into their own pockets. If you’re interested in learning more about what we do or how you can help, visit us at https://lnkd.in/gTWVNK9c BONUS: This week is Teacher Appreciation Week. If you’d like to show your support for teachers with a donation, donations to AdoptAClassroom.org will be DOUBLED all week*, so your dollar will make an even bigger impact. From personal experience, I can attest that debate is more than just an extracurricular activity! it's a transformative journey. iDebate Rwanda's programs instilled in me the invaluable skills of critical thinking, effective communication, and embracing diverse perspectives. For many students in Rwanda, participating in a debate competition is their first step toward discovering their voice and realizing their potential. Unfortunately, the students who stand to benefit the most, those from underprivileged backgrounds, often face the greatest obstacles to participation. By supporting iDebate Rwanda, you're not just contributing to an organization; you're empowering young minds to become problem solvers, leaders, and engaged citizens. Let's empower the next generation of leaders. 🥳
iDebate's impact on young high school students is undeniable. Yet, public schools still struggle to afford our programs because while 54.1% of our partner schools are public institutions, only 1% can afford debate programs your contribution can help make debate programs accessible to all public school students. It’s thanksgiving season, you can elevate a student, debate team or debate club by donating $30, $50, or $100. One contribution can change a student's life forever. Join us and help make a great impact https://lnkd.in/d6xFUGx7

In #OssiningNY, 42% of children live in low-income households or below the federal poverty line. More than 15% of families earn less than $35,000 annually, while the cost of living in Ossining is 30% higher than the national average. School budgets primarily focus on essential expenses such as teacher salaries, facilities, and mandated programs. They often lack the flexibility to fund the enrichment opportunities and innovative initiatives desperately needed to support our underserved community. Ossining MATTERS Education Foundation bridges this gap by supporting critical programs and resources that enhance education and provide opportunities many families could not otherwise afford. State funding formulas often fail to address the unique and diverse needs of districts like Ossining. Community support through #donations plays a vital role in leveling the playing field and empowering ALL children to thrive and succeed. 🎁 This holiday season, celebrate your loved ones with a gift that uplifts an entire community and builds a brighter future for us all. Consider donating today. ❤️ Learn more about Ossining MATTERS 👉 www.ossininingmatters.org #OssiningMatters #EducationForAll #GiveBack #MakeADifference #donation #notforprofit
