"🐮💚😊 Cows are friends, not food!" Project Animal Freedom released this video on May 3rd. It has since amassed over 2.3 million views. The combined watch time? 325,477 minutes! If just one person watched our video on repeat, they would have to watch nonstop for 226 days to rack up that much watch time. That’s why we make these little videos. They can capture a great deal of attention, inspire reflection on the human-animal relationship, and advance the conversation around animal rights. This video, in particular, encourages people to reflect on whether cows and dogs are morally different enough to warrant the vastly different treatment they generally receive. In so doing, it advances an anti-speciesist worldview wherein all animals deserve to be treated with respect, regardless of species. Please keep an eye out for future miniatures like this one. We are proud to produce these little videos that often have an outsized impact.

A chimpanzee, a mouse and a chicken, three different species yet they all feel pain, love, joy and fear just as we do. It’s time to question the barriers we’ve built between ourselves and other beings. Speciesism, the assumption that one species is more important than another, has led to immense suffering for animals worldwide. But we have the power to challenge this mindset and create a kinder, more compassionate world. Every small step, choosing plant-based meals, advocating for animal rights or simply speaking up, brings us closer to ending this unfair treatment. Together, we can build a future where respect and kindness extend to all living beings. How are you making a difference for animals today? Let’s inspire each other to take action #EndSpeciesism #AnimalRights #CompassionForAll #Kindness

For International Animal Rights Day, we asked our students the big question: Who’s your favorite animal? The answers were wild (literally)—think cats, penguins, and even the occasional...crab? But here’s the catch: it’s not just about loving animals—it’s about protecting them. 💛 Today, we stand up for their rights, their habitats, and their futures. #AnimalRightsDay #animallovers #animalrights #internationalschool #athensprivateschool #privateschool #primaryschool #secondaryschool

Today is World Spay and Neuter Day. In America, the initiative was encouraged by actress and animal lover Doris Day and her Animal Foundation in 1995. Spaying and neutering your pet prevents an unsustainable influx of baby cats and dogs, many of which will end up on the streets or in shelters. For those without access to adequate resources, a litter can prove economically devastating, forcing them to surrender the newborns. Making sure your pet is spayed or neutered is essential to maintaining a healthy shelter system. In Los Angeles and many other parts of the country, shelters are catastrophically overpopulated. Make sure your animal is spayed or nuetered. Modern iterations of the procedure are safe and designed to minimize animal discomfort. As with any vet procedure, spay and neuter services can be expensive. If you currently lack the resources to fix your animal, check out this list of assistance programs below: ASPCA: https://lnkd.in/gcU2Xjce Los Angeles City Initiative: https://lnkd.in/gqP6sxn2 Animal Care Program: https://lnkd.in/gThexYqE L.A. 🐱Happy Animal Day 🇦🇷! 🐶 We know that the commemorative day is every 4th October. However, in Argentina it is celebrated every 29th April and as animal lovers, we could not let this day pass without paying tribute to them. 💖 So, on this special day, we want to celebrate all the animals that surround us, from our furry pets to the most exotic creatures on the planet. 🐯🦊 Animals are incredible beings that enrich our lives in so many ways. They provide us with love, companionship, emotional support, and even teach us valuable life lessons. 🐾 It is our duty to protect them and ensure their well-being. 💕 What can we do to help animals? 🐾 Adopt a pet from a shelter. 🐾 Donate to organizations that work for animal welfare. 🐾 Volunteer our time at a shelter or rescue center. 🐾 Report animal abuse. 🐾 Choose products that are not tested on animals. 🐾 Educate others about the importance of animal protection. Together we can make the world a better place for all animals. By the way, we would like to introduce you to the four-legged Soul Ocean family 😻💕 . #NationalPetDay #AnimalProtection #AnimalLove #Pets #Biodiversity #Planet

SPREAD THE WORD! SMACC is ecstatic to announce the launching of the 'NGO Toolkit' webpage, accessible to all animal protection organizations and anyone around the world! SMACC is built with a purpose to combat online animal cruelty and one of the methods to do that is to keep on building the understanding and resources available on the issue. This is why we created these resources that any organization can download and share for free, to help spread awareness around what to do when coming across animal cruelty content. It is only together, with a united strategy, that we can create long-lasting change. The NGO Toolkit includes diagrams, instructional videos, flyers, recommendations, and many more. You can help us speak up for animals exploited for social media content by downloading our resources and sharing them with your supporters, followers and with the people around you.
