This will make a big difference to VR, Ecommerce, AR and games. ● 2d graphic designers can now create and sell 3d objects. ● Manufacturers/retailers can now turn a product photo into a 3d object people can try out using AR. ● Game and VR design just got a lot faster. ● Low code no code vr training design can now include customer specific objects much more easily. There will always be more complex objects that need custom design but this is a huge advance. One question - if you buy a 2d image, and make a 3d object out of it, who owns the rights to that version? With blazing fast 3D Reality Capture techniques at HoverSurv Technologies' core, why are we still incorporting traditional Total Station Survey in our Reality Capture workflow? Our client had a requirement of 3D Scanning a section of pipes with <1cm global error. While a single 3D Laser Scan itself is accurate to sub centimeter (3-5mm), these small errors start accumulating while combining multiple 3D scans together in post processing a larger 3D Model. This is why we are using precise and accurate independant measurements taken with a Total Station, to act as groud truth.
