A few weeks back I had the pleasure of facilitating a Community Feedback Mechanism workshop with the Baphalali Eswatini Red Cross Society where heads of departments deliberated on how to handle information received from stakeholders across various channels. It is imperative to note that having an inclusive system facilitates engagement and accountability efforts in humanitarian and development contexts. In essence, communities should be allowed to voice their concerns, praise, raise questions, and share their opinions on issues that impact their lives. It is further important that organizations deliberately listen to those issues and make efforts to close the feedback loop. #AccountabilityAdvocacy #CommunityEngagement #SafeReporting

Building community is key to success in both personal and professional life. As a family, we had the privilege of providing accommodation for newcomers, helping them feel welcome and connected. One of my favorite verses is: “How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity!” — Psalm 133:1 As we learned yesterday, it’s not only about what we gain but also what we give. So ask yourself: How can I create a sense of community and support for those around me? Creating meaningful connections can offer strength and comfort in unfamiliar or challenging situations.
