Let's use our imagination. 🤔 Imagine trying to complete a jigsaw puzzle with several pieces missing. It’s frustrating and leaves you with an incomplete picture. This is similar to what local police and sheriff jurisdictions face daily when fighting crime within their community boundaries. We expect our agencies to make the best decisions, but they often lack the full picture due to these jurisdictional constraints. Now, envision a future where departments collaborate seamlessly through an interagency RTCC. Picture agencies sharing information and technological resources effortlessly, with staff from different departments working together to address the needs of any participating agency and its community in real-time. This is the vision we’re working towards—where every piece of the puzzle is available, and the complete picture can be seen. At the Cobb County Police Department's RTCC, we’re making strides toward this future with our incremental approach of crawl, walk, run. Earlier this year, we saw a glimpse of this cooperative future in action. A simple stolen vehicle call from another jurisdiction led to a successful interagency effort in our RTCC. Thanks to collaborative work between two agencies, including Kennesaw Police Department and their talented staff, such as former Criminal Intelligence Analyst Bayleigh Brown, the stolen vehicle was recovered, an arrest was made, and a warrant was cleared before the responding patrol officer could even start writing the report. This case demonstrated the power of an effective interagency RTCC. Our PIO’s office created a video showcasing this incident and the collaborative effort behind it. The video highlights the people who made this success possible, underscoring that good technology is nothing without good people. A special thanks to PSA Chris Frew for sharing his insights on why this case matters, to PIO Aaron Wilson for another professional production, and to Kennesaw Police Department's Chief Bill Westenberger for his department's commitment and contributions. I kept thinking about regionalization after returning from Scottsdale. I run a virtual call every morning to cover everything that happened in last 24 hours. The purpose was to be true intel sharing meeting, not stats game. We started inviting neighboring jurisdictions to join in. So far a few have accepted the invitation. Baby steps!!!!

Interagency Cooperation. the way it should be and always should have been! Well Done, Y’all!

What an incredible example of modern RTCC technologies facilitating proactive policing and mutual aid between agencies! Really impressive collaborative work by all involved. Thank you for helping keep our communities safe!

Can't wait to see what our new AI collaboration is going to do to advance predictive, real time, and the forensic aspects of virtual crime fighting.
