Taking on a New Challenge: Interning for a Well-Known Brand When you’re allowed to work for a renowned brand as an intern, it’s more than just a chance to learn—it's a challenge to push your limits. You never truly know what you can do until you face such a challenge. How can you make the most of such an opportunity? "Stay in your comfort zone." NO WAY! Your goal should be to exceed expectations and demonstrate your full potential. That’s exactly what I aimed to do, working as a graphic designer and animator for their social media. ↳ Create content that stands out. ↳ Don’t just stick to the basics. ↳ Dive deep into what makes the brand unique and bring that to life through your designs and animations. ↳ Aim for creativity that captures attention and communicates the brand's essence. Elements that worked for me: - Design Theme: I embraced a bold, vibrant theme that resonated with the brand’s identity. - Fonts: Helvetica Neue, Futura - Content Focus: Engaging animations and interactive graphics for social media platforms The result? Phenomenal appreciation from both the team and the client. It’s about pushing boundaries, experimenting, and learning from each step you take. This internship has been a testament to the power of facing challenges head-on and growing through them. Feeling inspired? Have a project? Let’s connect and create something extraordinary together!

Junior motion designers are lost. Remote work is great, but junior designers have told us they have trouble learning and getting mentorship. So what did we do about it? We created the Fly on the Wall program. Fly on the Wall invites talent to join us on motion design projects and observe. This allows us to include and educate more people than a traditional internship. The Motion Flies sign an NDA, and then join our slack channels, client Zoom calls and Milanote boards. They truly see projects come together from beginning to end. Why? • To learn the process and see it unfold in real time. • Understand the true language of motion. • See the best way of communicating and posting work. • How to organize and address client feedback. • To build community. • To watch seasoned creatives pitch, and discuss work with clients. • To break down barriers in our industry and build relationships. FOTW provides mentorship, community and so much more. Got questions? If you're interested in the program, drop a comment below.
