Data 4 All partners in Norway (Eigersund Municipality, Eigersund Næring og Havn (ENH) and the University of Stavanger (UiS)) work to make public data more accessible and improve the application for permits processes for businesses. An ecosystem around a centralized digital service will streamline the sharing and use of public data between local authorities and businesses. This will provide companies with easier access to necessary municipal services. Rolf Andre Leidland, Project Manager at Eigersund Næring og Havn: “The Norwegian pilot in Data 4 All has been a valuable journey in understanding the true potential of data for improving municipal services. We’ve learned that the key is not just collecting data, but making it accessible and actionable for local decision-makers." More at https://lnkd.in/e5By9XsP.

Exactly a week ago, I was at the very beautiful city of Paphos, Cyprus - presenting my research paper on 'Improving Consumer-Provider Interaction with Data Products' at the The European Conference on Information Systems (ECIS) 2024 With my supervisor Christine Legner, we deep-dive into exploring the dynamics of this key relationship. In brief, we point out that: - Sustained value from data products, both in short and long run, depends on the interaction between data consumers and data producers of an enterprise. - Such interaction can take multiple forms: * Transactional form that involves an exchange * Relational form that involves cooperation and collaboration * Process form that involve well-documented, sequential steps - Few common mechanisms, including the likes of data contracts and data product lifecycle, are crucial in harnessing and managing this interaction. [New publication] How to deal with Information Overload when analyzing e-Participation data to support Policy Making ? That what we try to address in our new publication in the International Journal of Information Management Data Insights. Following a Design Science approach, we build and evaluate a Data-Driven Prioritization Framework, with related metrics, and validate it on a EU dataset. This work was led by three researchers in MINDIT @ NaDI - Management of Information and Digital Transformation: Mathieu Lega, Lhorie Pirnay and Benito Giunta. Thanks to them for involving Corentin Burnay and me in this research. Thanks as well to the Editor-in-Chief Arpan K. Kar for the smooth and careful editing process.
