When delving into research at Dimensional, we make sure to ask these four questions: - Do the findings make sense? - Does the pattern show up in other time periods? - Does the premium appear in other markets across the world? - Can we capture the premium in live markets?

Is Your Filter Too Tight? Due to the busyness of our lives, we pre-filter our inputs so much that we often only let in data and commentary that supports our position/beliefs. This tight filter therefore keeps us comfortably in our thought bubble, which after years of use, the filter begins to unconsciously build a "pedestal of self-belief" upon which we stand as we look down and negatively judge other points of view. The further we remove ourselves from truly listening to and digging into differing points of view the more divisive our society becomes (and the more thought-isolated we personally become). Obviously, not all differing opinions need in-depth analysis, but at the same time, some do. Be Wary of creating too much of a thought echo-chamber balanced on top of a self-built pedestal
