Microwave “Fly Swatter” - static display of a huge high-power #microwave gadget, nicknamed “Fly Swatter” in Chinese media (#CCTV4) last few days. Along with a long-flight-range drone carrier - huge autonomous craft that can unleash hundreds, if not thousands of small #drones in air. It was said that China has been researching using drones in war theater but was not certain if that is the right direction. China joined many nations in UN to ban use of robots in war, but many western countries led by the USA, voted against. Then, Ukraine and the USA gave China the answer in Ukraine-Russia war, and endorsed the direction. Not surprisingly, China being the clear leader in the commercial drone world (DJI) has significant strengths in drone supply-chain, that made natural technologies spillover to military applications. Banning #DJI will be frutile and likely laughing stalk (ie acting on misguided intelligence). Seen in the media, China introduced #J20 and #J35 stealth jets. The agility is amazing; take off within few tens of meters into a near vertical climb! Shown also is Russia’s #SU57 - also amazing agility - demonstrated short vertical take-off and landing. Also shown is China’s attack chopper - highly agile with precision hovers. These planes and choppers show great leaps in flight technologies that most thought only possible in the west. Though not shown in video, the media reported China’s 6th gen #hypersonic war gears, and China’s reusable “#space-shuttle”-like space vehicle that can be long-march launched and dock with Tiangong space-station. Boy, when was the last tech excitements from one show? These are either clear “think thrice” message or Hollywood-style propaganda. Anyway, the air flights cannot be faked, being once part of #avionics world, I am glad that flight control tech has taken some leaps forward. Hope the world use that in peace promoting deterrents.

#UAV #DRONE #MQ9 : Developed by General Atomics Aeronautical Systems for the United States Air Force. The MQ-9 Reaper is a highly capable unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) developed by General Atomics Aeronautical Systems for the United States Air Force. Here are the key details about the MQ-9 Reaper drone: The Reaper is a hunter-killer UAV designed for long-endurance, high-altitude surveillance and precision strikes. It can carry a variety of weapons including Hellfire missiles, laser-guided bombs, and air-to-air missiles. The Reaper has a top speed of 240 knots (440 km/h), a service ceiling of 50,000 feet (15,000 m), and an endurance of over 27 hours. It can carry a payload of up to 3,850 pounds (1,746 kg), including 3,000 pounds (1,361 kg) of external stores. The Reaper is equipped with advanced sensors including electro-optical/infrared cameras, a Lynx multi-mode radar, and electronic support measures for signals intelligence. It can detect and track targets from long distances. The Reaper is primarily operated by the United States Air Force, but has also been acquired by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, NASA, and the militaries of several other countries including the UK, Italy, France, and Spain. The Reaper is an evolution of the earlier MQ-1 Predator drone, with a larger airframe, more powerful turboprop engine, and greater payload capacity. The first Reaper prototype flew in 2001, and the aircraft entered service in 2007. Significance: The Reaper represents a major advancement in UAV technology, providing persistent surveillance and precision strike capabilities that complement manned aircraft. It has become a key asset for the U.S. military in conflicts around the world. India intend to acquire: https://lnkd.in/daxYeGdu No Credit Envisaged. 🇺🇸🇨🇳CHINA DRONES VS U.S. LASERS: THE FUTURE OF WAR IS HERE China’s got its swarming drones now, led by the FH-97A, and they’re not messing around. These things are AI-piloted, have crazy long-range strike capabilities, and could easily target Taiwan, Japan, or even U.S. territories. But, of course, the U.S. isn’t just sitting back and letting that happen. Enter HELIOS and DragonFire lasers—high-tech precision weapons that can zap these drones out of the sky without burning through missile budgets. As these two cutting-edge technologies face off, the question is: who’s going to adapt faster? Because, make no mistake, whoever wins this race could shift the whole global security game. No pressure, right? Source: Epoch Times
