9moVery insightful article - agree modularity is key to building large quantum systems. Whilst the focus has been on 2 qubit gate fidelities as a key performance benchmark, have not come across much discussion around inter-connect performance which is key to scalable modular architectures. Barring a major breakthrough, modular architecture with high inter-connect performance is key to realising FTQC.
