Moreover, Hollande identified Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Greentech as pivotal trends that require substantial investment. He believes that with the right investments, France, and by extension Europe, can lead in these fields. His message was clear: the time to act is now, as delaying further could result in missed opportunities. He concluded his speech with a direct appeal to banks, FinTechs, and investors to focus on long-term investments that ensure a coherent society, true democracy, and global progress. Those who prioritise short-term gains, he warned, risk losing in the long run. Money 20/20, since its inception in 2011, has been a vital platform for showcasing ground-breaking ideas and facilitating significant business deals. Notable companies such as J.P. Back in December 2016, I had the honor of making a keynote at Impact CEE impact’16 fintech/insurtech in Wroclaw, Poland—a premier event bringing together the top innovators in fintech and insurtech across Central and Eastern Europe. This wasn’t just another conference, it was a hub for collaboration, uniting start-ups, corporations, regulators, academics, and investors to shape the future of financial technology. Being part of such a dynamic gathering was a privilege, and the energy in the room was palpable as we discussed the opportunities and challenges ahead. These ideas and discussions often brought me back to the principles I laid out in my book, Capital Market Revolution!, which celebrated its 25th anniversary last July. The book explored the technological shifts that were just beginning back in 1999—many of which we discussed on stage at events like this. How to find the balance between tradition and technology? ⚖ That's one of the questions that stayed with us after the Vilnius conference #FUTURESCAPE2024 event organized by Investors' Forum.
