That is one of the main questions discussed at the annual spring meeting of the Leibniz-Gemeinschaft IT working group hosted Leibniz-Institut für Naturstoff-Forschung und Infektionsbiologie - Hans-Knöll-Institut. LIFE-C project welcomes a new Associated Partner - the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). After one of the conferences where Prof. Lidia Lombardi presented the project, the Consortium was contacted by prof. Annik Magerholm Fet from the Department of International Business of NTNU. The need to develop LCA-oriented teaching materials for the Norwegian industry and municipalities is highlighted again, and the LIFE-C project Consortium is happy to help participate in this goal!

🌐 On 12-14 June, the Max Weber Programme held its 18th Annual Conference under the theme 'Continuity or rupture: towards an interdisciplinary inquiry'. More than 90 participants gathered across 18 panels to reflect on the current state of academia and exchange ideas between disciplines 💭 📄 Read the main takeaways from the conference: https://loom.ly/uiB539Y

Indeed a relevant but overlooked non-properly-rewarded way of (potentially) having an impact in society from academic knowledge, and also learning from society's knowledge and expertise. An interesting (historical) question would be the socio-political context in which this two-way transfer instrument came into being and was adopted by universities. Was it to compensate the burdens and cumbursome process of transferring knowledge in the form of patents/spin-offs/start-ups?
