Staying Motivated as the Festive Season Approaches❄️🎄☃️ This morning’s rain & snow had me thinking, as the days get colder and the evenings darker, it’s easy to feel your energy dipping - but for teachers and TAs, this time of year is so important. So to all of my connections working within the education sector, here are a few reasons to stay motivated and inspired as we head towards the Christmas break: 💪🏼The Power of Positive Impact: This term might feel long, but every lesson you teach and every student you support is making a difference. Your work helps shape their confidence and learning journey, even on the days which feel the toughest, your students still learn something new! ✨ Festive Excitement: The lead-up to Christmas brings a unique buzz to schools - festive assemblies, creative projects, and that magical sense of anticipation. Embrace these moments to remind yourself why you love working in education. 🎓 Finish Strong: There’s something so rewarding about wrapping up the term on a high. By staying focused, you’re setting the tone for a strong start to the new year - for both you and your students. 🤝 Team Spirit: You’re not alone. Lean on your colleagues for support and encouragement. Speak up. Celebrate the little wins together. Keep each other motivated. 💡 Self-Care Matters: Stay energised by taking care of yourself - whether it’s a hot drink after a long day, an early night, or sitting down with family/friends to reflect on the positive impact you’ve had so far this term. Remember, the effort you’re putting in now will have a lasting impact on your students - and the holidays are just around the corner (𝟮𝟯 school days from tomorrow)! 💪❄️ #EducationMotivation #TeacherLife #TASupport #StayInspired #ChristmasCountdown #EducationCareers #MakeADifference #EducationRecruitmentExperts #RibbonsReeves

🍜 Event Recap: Ramen! Relax! Recharge! 📢 I recently had the pleasure of #hosting "Ramen! Relax! Recharge!" at Wright Hall, an evening dedicated to #helping #students unwind from midterms. We spent the night enjoying some cozy vibes with a movie, delicious #Korean ramen, journaling, and a whole lot of fun. 🎉 The turnout was incredible—30+ people joined, and I couldn’t have done it without the amazing #support of my friends who were there every step of the way to help make this event a success. I truly couldn't ask for anything better! #University life can be #challenging, and #stress often goes unaddressed. According to a Gallup poll conducted in March 2023 with over 2,400 college students, a staggering 66% reported #experiencing stress frequently, with 51% feeling worried throughout much of the day. In fact, stress and #emotional concerns are among the primary reasons students consider dropping out, as highlighted in the State of Higher Education 2023 report. Let's recognize and address these #pressures. Taking time off to relax and recharge isn’t just a break; it’s essential self-care. #Together, we can create a supportive #community where #everyone feels better and stronger. 💪 Here’s to more nights filled with ramen, relaxation, and recharge! 🍜✨

With just 3 weeks to go to Christmas week what is it that you’re going to make happen? What goals and aims do you have? I keep asking you this week on week because you can either whimper out of 2024 or you can finish strong. Yes there are lots of distractions during these weeks BUT you have the power to decide what you do. No one else. You decide. Why not remain focused for these 3 weeks and then switch off and enjoy Christmas week and feel you’ve earned it? Then switch back on 70% for few days before full focus from 2nd January 2025 Doesn’t that sound like a good plan? Look at all areas of your life right now and identify where you want to see improvement and then clarify the key action steps required and then get to work. Enjoy any social functions or gatherings during these 3 weeks of festive period BUT stay on track the days around them. Realistic and fair plan wouldnt you agree? If there are any particular areas you really struggle with at this time of year share then in comments below. Ask me questions the answers to which will help you navigate these few weeks. Let’s finish 2024 strong, enjoy Christmas week and then have good momentum and focus for a strong positive start to 2025👍👊 #motivation #success #happiness #successmindset #highperformancemindset #mindset #highperformancecoach #mentalhealth #achieveyourgoals #mentalhealth #ireland #uk #unitedstates #australia #newzealand

A question I regularly ask students is, “Would you rather spend your entire holidays away with your family, or stay local and spend it with your friends?” Their response surprised me. Around 90% said they’d rather spend time away with family than stay local and spend it with their friends. That was not at all what I expected. I really thought they would have chosen friends over family. So, I kept asking more groups, and the answer was the same. Time away with family trumps staying local with friends. At first I thought they chose this option because of the holiday destination. But, no. It was simply because they want and value time with their family. They give a similar response when I ask, “What is your favorite meal and who are your favorite people to share it with?” Again, their preference is to share it with their family. This isn’t because they want to sit in front of the tv, or at the table on devices, but because they value your presence and attention. Be intentional about creating opportunities for connection. They want and need quality time wtih you.
