During the visit, project experts shared how JUP will enable the mine to transition from open-pit mining to underground operations. This shift will ensure the continued extraction of diamonds, extending the mine’s operational life well into the future. JUP is pivotal in sustaining Jwaneng Mine’s role as a major contributor to Botswana’s economy.
