This is a perfect example of rip-off. The Wendy's Company takes a popular IP, oversells it to the millennial demographic and then impassively butchers it with an OVERPRICED meal that consumers could've replaced with a $5 Biggie Bag. I've read reviews that the quality for this meal is subpar, that they have no pineapple flavor Frosty available at certain stores, and that the LTO packaging materials are unavailable. A big disappointment for SpongeBob fans! Therefore, what's the purpose of dropping $12 on this Krabby Patty Meal, if it's not delivering? How would've I fixed this, justifying it's hefty $12 tag? ✅ Use Brioche burger bun with seeds, instead of the regular hamburger bun. On one hand, a lot of customers are complaining that the burger is TOO similar to a Dave's Single with a different sauce. On the other hand, brioche buns are similar in appearance to its cartoon counterpart (dome shapes and golden yellow color) and deliver a more unique product appearance. As well, brioche buns are of higher quality and within LTO budget. ✅ Use a plastic lunchbox of similar size, instead of a disposable cardboard box. A reusable souvenir is a thoughtful throwback for fans and within LTO budget. (While supplies last, of course!). Use cardboard meal boxes after supplies deplete. ✅ Have the marketing team and the company execs more involved in the stores. Fast food restaurants are in a critical stage , where elevated food costs are resulting on lower revenues, more fierce competition and potential business closures. Corporate executives are the QUALITY arbiters of QSRs and it is their duty to benchmark their restaurants , to ensure that their stores are performing up to standards and to ensure customer satisfaction. In sum, you could justify the hefty tag of an LTO offer, as long as it delivers QUALITY to its target demographic.
