“It is not happy people who are thankful. It is thankful people who are happy.” Thanks Pejman Milani for sharing the quote, it reminds me about the Tedtalk by David Steindl Rast about power of gratitude. This powerful statement flips the conventional thinking about happiness on its head. True happiness doesn’t come from external achievements or circumstances—it comes from a mindset of gratitude. When you pause to appreciate what you have, even in difficult times, you shift your focus from what’s missing to what’s present. Gratitude fosters contentment, builds stronger relationships, and creates a sense of abundance. It’s a habit that transforms your outlook on life. Happiness isn’t the cause of gratitude; gratitude is the foundation of happiness. Start with gratitude, and joy will follow.
