Wanted to share the work our new venture with One Tonne Capital (OTC) is putting out. Two years ago, Dan Arthur, P.E., SPEC, CPG, FGS, QMS opened my eyes to a growing issue beleaguering our aging oil patch. With Big Oil's exit from our Nation's conventional oil and gas fields there has been a surge in the number of orphan, idle and inactive wells assigned to Small Operators and State agencies to manage. As these fields age the mechanical integrity of the well also ages which may cause the potential for numerous safety and environmental issues. Recently, there has been an injection of government money available to State Agencies to address the Orphan well issue, but until now $0 have been made available to the small operator to aid them in the voluntary efforts to accelerate P&A activity in the patch. This year, BCarbon made public the Methane Capture & Reclamation (MCR) Methodology that implements emissions measurement technology, environmental sciences and petroleum reserve engineering to determine accurate baselines in calculating the positive environmental impacts and attributes from the plugging and reclamation of fugitive VOC's leaking from oil and gas wells. The MCR supports the development of real, measurable carbon accounting that can be converted to High-Integrity Voluntary Carbon Credits that are utilized by various Industries in their goal toward a Net Zero business model. Dan and I formed One Tonne Capital to support the Voluntary Carbon Markets by sponsoring the development of high-quality carbon reclamation and removal projects in the energy and agribusiness industries. Our first project provided the funding and expertise to create the Cross Timbers Reclamation Project (CTRP). A project that cleans up and permanently plugs inactive well sites within the 26,000 sq.mi. Cross Timbers and Prairies Region of North Texas. This project will support better environmental conditions for eco-tourism, wildlife, livestock, restoration of grasslands, ground water, air quality and many other Co-Benefits. The CTRP project has successfully generated the very first Carbon Credit issued nationwide using the BCarbon Registry's MCR Methodology for well plugging and site reclamation. We have the potential for thousands of sites within our project AMI. If you are a small operator and in need of capital and advisory services for the voluntary early retirement of an oil and gas asset, please consider One Tonne Capital in your planning decisions.

Did you know that DeLa Express, LLC filed responses to issues raised during the scoping period? In September, the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission held scoping sessions on the DeLa Express Pipeline Project in Texas and Louisiana. The scoping sessions were an opportunity to collect public comments about the project and how the proposed project may affect you, your land, or your community. As part of FERC’s pre-filing environmental review process, DeLa Express, LLC submitted responses to those scoping session comments. In the response document, Appendix A (page 14) provides a “comment matrix” that is segmented into topics, such as accessibility, air quality, economic impact, environmental impact, environmental justice, among others. You can read DeLa Express, LLC’s responses by following this link: https://lnkd.in/ebDJvnGk You may see all the documents in FERC’s docket on the DeLa Express Pipeline Project by visiting https://lnkd.in/dy3gWqGh and entering PF24-4-000 into the Docket Number text field. #Texas #Louisiana #LibertyTexas #VintonTexas #BallingerTexas #ClevelandTexas #SterlingCityTexas #HuntsvilleTexas #OdessaTexas #LottTexas #KurtenTexas #GatesvilleTexas #BrownwoodTexas #DeLaExpress #PF24-4 #Pipeline #NaturalGas #Energy #Environment #CommunityEngagement #PublicParticipation #FERC #ScopingSession Texas Association of Counties Reeves County, TX City of Midland, Texas City of Odessa, Texas City Of Hamilton Bell County Brazos County

Thank you, Jim Childerstone, for shining a light on the challenges surrounding the Prime Minister, Christopher Luxon proposed energy solutions. Recently, New Zealand announced consent to new facilities to import liquefied natural gas (LNG) gas to address electricity shortages. However, this reliance on fossil fuels does not align with their net-zero targets for 2050. In the article, Childerstone discusses how last year, Huntly successfully ran an experiment using torrefied wood pellets as a coal substitute in their generators. We’ve applied to construct a plant in the Bay of Plenty to manufacture these black pellets and chemicals, providing a consistent supply for local boilers without major modifications to existing facilities. Moreover, the Ministry of Primary Industries is taking important steps to transition the forestry sector towards value-added production. Their initiatives include enhancing onshore wood processing, improving market access, and fostering innovation in wood products. We’re hopeful that these efforts will translate into tangible outcomes for industries like ours, driving us closer to a sustainable future. https://lnkd.in/gMQ8uSJm
