Creating visually appealing designs can be a fun yet thoughtful journey! 🌈 When curating a recent collection, our team took a step back to reevaluate our approach. We found inspiration not only in colors but in the stories each piece tells. Each design reflects our commitment to sustainability and creativity, which is so important to us. 🌍✨ We debated which color palettes to use and how to showcase our eco-friendly materials. The outcome? A vibrant collection that not only looks good but feels good too! 🎨 However, we realized that while our choices resonated with many, some missed the richer textures and patterns we initially envisioned. Looking back, involving our community earlier in the feedback process might have helped balance innovation with customer expectations. 🤔💭 Takeaway? Always seek inspiration but don't forget to engage with those who matter most—your community! They might just have the insights that can elevate your work even further. Let’s celebrate creativity together! What inspires your designs? Share below! 👇💬 #CuratedDesign #EcoFriendlyFashion #CreativeCommunity #DesignInspiration

Not Everything Needs to Be #Minimalistic In the world of design, minimalism has become a buzzword. Brands are increasingly opting for clean lines and simple aesthetics. However, I firmly believe that not all designs must follow this trend. Some brands thrive on vibrancy and complexity, which can create stronger connections with their audiences. #Cetaphil is a perfect example of a brand that, while not overly complex, uses bold design elements to convey its message. The packaging has multiple elements and details, yet it effectively communicates trust and reliability, focusing on the skin's needs rather than just aesthetics. And yet, it continues to dominate the skincare market. I honestly do not want to see a day come when #ParleG decides to drop its iconic packaging and go for a much simpler design. While minimalistic design has its place, it’s essential to recognize that complexity and vibrancy can be just as powerful. And some brands illustrate how a more colorful and detailed approach can resonate strongly with consumers. Ultimately, the key is to ensure that the design reflects the brand’s identity and connects authentically with its audience, regardless of the style. True story... Yesterday I met three board members of a large corporation. Not in Zoom but in person. A new client possibly. I presented Curiosity Group GmbH's proposal for the contribution of product design to the strategic repositioning of their flagship brand. All went really well. The almost-client is really pleased and it looks like we start soon. And then, one of the C-level execs leans in with a grin and asks: "Why do you look so…Normal? You’re the first designer I’ve met who just looks like us." I’ll admit: I had to laugh. Did I miss the memo on designer dress codes? Or maybe being 6’8”, sleek black turtlenecks just look ridiculous on me? I might be just too scared to try those bold-framed glasses.... Some of us designers prefer a shirt and jeans to quietly keep distance from the edgy world of true "designer fashion"... Truth is, I think there’s something refreshing about connecting on common ground. If my business shirt says, "I'm here to focus on the work", then I'm happy with that. Design is about creating solutions, not looks, and sometimes that means breaking a stereotype or two along the way... What do you think? And in case you disagree, then the lovely inspiration in this article in Architectural Digest is for you! #design #business #authenticity

Do you buy with your eyes? 👀 When it comes to making purchasing decisions, how much does packaging influence you? Whether it's a sleek design, vibrant colours, or unique shapes, aesthetics can certainly draw us in. But here's the big question: how important is that visual appeal compared to practicality? Is it worth the risk of underperformance just for eye-catching packaging? And, with sustainability becoming a key factor in today's market, can we afford to prioritise aesthetics if it means compromising on eco-friendly materials? 🌍 I'd love to hear your thoughts! How do you balance these factors when making a purchase? #PackagingDesign #ConsumerBehavior #Sustainability #Marketing #ProductDesign

The label design for the aluminum-free roll-on deodorant by the brand Mulhens features a minimalist approach, utilizing four distinct colors to differentiate between male and female products. The men's products are blue and green, evoking a sense of freshness and energy. Meanwhile, the women's products are accentuated with pink and lilac, conveying a sense of softness and elegance. Design maintains a consistent layout and font style that reinforces the Mulhens brand identity. Additionally, the key feature of the product, being aluminum-free, is prominently displayed as an icon on the label. This simplicity not only enhances the visual appeal but also makes it easy for consumers to identify and select the appropriate product. The overall design prioritizes clarity and effectiveness, providing all necessary information in a straightforward and aesthetically pleasing manner. Hello Connections 🤗, 𝐃𝐚𝐲 11/30:𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐩𝐡𝐢𝐜 𝐃𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐧 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐞-𝐈𝐜𝐞 𝐂𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐦 𝐏𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐒𝐜𝐨𝐨𝐩 𝐇𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐧 🍦✨ Another day, another delicious design! For 𝐃𝐚𝐲 11 of my 30 𝐃𝐚𝐲𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐃𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐧 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐞, I had the sweet task of creating a poster for 𝐒𝐜𝐨𝐨𝐩 𝐇𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐧,an ice cream brand that promises 𝐒𝐜𝐨𝐨𝐩𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐉𝐨𝐲 𝐢𝐧 𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐞! The aim was to create a design that instantly triggers cravings while being visually engaging and on-brand. 🍨🍫 𝐃𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐧 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐩𝐭: This design plays on the sensory experience of ice cream. Two scoops—𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐯𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐚—sit like 𝐭𝐰𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐬 of temptation, draped in ribbons of melted chocolate. The background flows with the same creamy indulgence, guiding the eye towards the call to action, 𝐎𝐫𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐍𝐨𝐰 making it hard to resist. The goal? To transform a simple poster into an 𝐢𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐜𝐫𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐋𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐬 & 𝐑𝐞𝐟𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: Creating this design taught me a lot about the importance of texture and realism—getting the scoops and cones to look appetizing was crucial. I also realized how effective it is to add subtle motion, like the flowing chocolate, to guide the viewer's focus. Branding elements, such as the bear mascot and catchy slogan, helped to keep the tone light and family-friendly, while ensuring the call to action remained clear and engaging. The balance between visuals and functionality was key in this project.🍨✨ #Day11 #30DayDesignChallenge #GraphicDesign #GraphicDesignChallenge #IceCreamDesign #ScoopHaven #DesignJourney #DailyDesign
