Some good comment on the merits and benefits of co-operation in the wine business. Addresses both specific and common needs.
Many smaller wineries are struggling. I think they would benefit from working together https://lnkd.in/d54c4PRA

1974. A dubious time in history which saw Nixon’s resignation, Ali vs Forman’s “Rumble in the Jungle,” intro of a nationwide 55 mph highway speed limit and Barbara Streisand topping the Billboard Year-End Hot 100 singles. Also in 1974? Chateau Grand Traverse starting wine production in Northern Michigan. Foolhardy by some standards 50 years ago, CGT “pressed” on with its belief in the possibilities of the Northern Michigan landscape and now celebrates its golden anniversary. Ali boasted he was “King of the world,” but in the kingdom of Riesling, CGT reigns. Michigan’s ‘House of Riesling’ is responsible for +75% of the State of Michigan’s Riesling sales and +3% of total sales in the United States. 2024. A dubious time in history as the wine industry faces off with a Millennial and Gen Z audience who turning from wine to the cheap and sweet of the RTD, Seltzer and flavor-house of the week in the adult bev. Chateau Grand Traverse stands stalwart and committed to sharing its niche in micro-climate, varietal craft-wine making with the staunchest of skeptics, ready to savor the future with a bold blend of ambition and just a touch of sass. #Winemaking #Winebusiness #WineIndustry #50Years #UncorkYourNorth

Before + After photos… Stonhard’s MORTAR systems allow you to resurface and repair old concrete before applying the finish of your choice. Here we used a Urethane mortar. It provides protection against: - Thermal cycling - Chemicals - Repeated use and washdowns
What a difference a Stonclad UR flooring system makes! Our industrial photo of the month shows the before & after of a winery production room. We know wineries need to focus on their product and customers, not the floors that support their facility. Stonclad UR will provide exceptional durability, thermal stability, and easy maintenance for years to come! 🍷 Learn more about Stonhard's solutions for wineries: https://ow.ly/4aZx50Rk3SX #winery #industrialflooring #beforeandafter

#WineArticle Wine Critic and Journalist ELIN McCOY wrote an interesting article for Bloomberg where she explains how Virginia has become an interesting wine region to invest "French Wine Investors See Virginia as a Climate-Safe Napa" and confirms that Virginia it's America’s next great wine region. To understand better about this investment trend, I contacted Janine Aquino, Licensed Winery Real Estate Agent from Aquino Baron Consulting to ask few questions about this matter, considering she manages a current listing of wineries for sale. Do you think Winemakers from France and California that are facing problems of climate crisis should invest in Wineries in Virginia? Why? Virginia offers a temperate climate which is one of the main reasons Chateau Montrose purchased RdV Vineyards in Virginia. Virginia is very successful with growing varietals such as Petit Verdot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Viognier, and other ones. Virginia is also relatively unknown in the winery world, so the purchase value is still there. Do you think the opportunity in Virginia is to attract importers that want to export wines to the World? I do think there is an opportunity for Virginia wineries to export, however they would need to scale production. Currently, whatever is made at the winery is sold at the winery. Some wineries do sell to stores in Virginia, but it's still a smaller number. Which are the main varieties that can be exported from Virginia besides Cabernet Franc? Petit Verdot, Viognier, Chardonnay, Tannat, Petit Mansend, Vidal Blanc. Current Listing: https://lnkd.in/ev384FzW Article at Bloomberg: https://lnkd.in/ezKjbQuq
