Generating positive economic impact for our communities is a goal of every destination organization, and destination promotion is just one piece of the puzzle when it comes to strategic planning. By balancing positive visitor experiences with community health and well-being, destinations can maximize economic opportunities and growth beyond increased travel demand and visitation. A destination stewardship approach can help create jobs, support local business and more. #destinationmanagement #destinationstewardship #economicimpact #tourism

For me, planning an itinerary is more than just selecting destinations; it’s about curating an experience that resonates deeply and holistically. My approach to travel is about creating balanced journeys that weave together elements of nature, invigorating hikes, spiritual sites, historical heritage, local culture, handicrafts, and revered pilgrimage spots. This blend of experiences not only enriches each journey but also maintains a sense of discovery and freshness, steering away from the predictable path. There’s something profoundly rewarding in connecting with the diverse essence of a place—whether through its landscapes, cultural heritage, or spiritual landmarks. In a world driven by fast-paced travel, I advocate for itineraries that allow for a slower, more meaningful exploration, appreciating each nuance and gaining a richer perspective. How do you approach travel planning to ensure it’s both engaging and enriching? #ProfessionalTravel #ItineraryDesign #HolisticExperiences #CulturalExploration #MeaningfulJourneys

A recent survey of #American travelers found that the majority act out of character while on #vacation. Radical Storage, a global luggage storage network, released a survey of 1,231 U.S. travelers in October. The results found that 56.5% experience “tourist #syndrome,” which was described as “the greater inclination to misbehave or be rude on vacation.” The survey’s other findings detailed the types of #bad and questionable #behavior displayed while vacationing. Surprisingly, 42.5% admitted to breaking the law while on a trip. Moreover, nearly one-third (32.3%) say they’ve inappropriately posed with a statue while away. Additionally, 59.6% of Americans said they tip their standard amount or less while on vacation. https://lnkd.in/ddCKVFCN #tourism #Tourisminsights #pakistan #tourismindustry #AtharJ #ecotourism #sustainabletourism #sustainability #sustainabledevelopment #tourismmarketing #60seconds
