Things Are Changing For Me... Here's why I no longer want to focus on meeting new people in Austin 👇🏽 A few months ago, I set out on a journey to connect with as many impact-driven founders, VCs, and builders as possible. After meeting over 70 incredible individuals, I’ve shifted my focus from “new” to nurturing the deeper connections I’ve made. (In the hustle of community building, it’s easy to lose sight of why you're doing it in the first place.) For me, in a new city like Austin, meeting new people was crucial—but at a certain point, I realized that more new connections weren’t the most valuable thing anymore. That’s why I’ve taken a step back to reflect, measure my progress, and ensure I’m on the right path for my goals. This process has helped me course-correct and refocus on what truly matters—building deeper, more meaningful relationships. I’m incredibly grateful for the people I’ve met along the way. 🙏 So many have been accessible, welcoming, and generous with their time and knowledge. Now, it’s time to go deeper, not wider. The first chapter of this journey was all about growth and learning. Now, I’m excited for the next chapter—one that’s focused on building an even stronger, more connected, and impact-driven community. Yup, that effected me and now I am a big birthday gal. Doesn’t mean I receive anymore celebration than I used to chuckle. It does mean I value it A LOT when it happens. ▶️▶️▶️What’s the best present I could receive today?◀️◀️◀️ Not gonna give an untrue answer cause my neurodivergent brain hates lying… I really would appreciate MORE PAID CLIENTS. While that might sound contrary to my “let’s make the world a better place to some”… Until we replace it, I still live in this world where I need to pay rent and buy food. Yes, it’s been extremely tough rebuilding from ground zero after completely depleting my resources caring for a parent with dementia for over a decade.

Hello, LinkedIn family! It's been a while since my last post—life truly happened, and I took a step back to navigate through it all. I often advise on the importance of authenticity and showing up as your true self on social media. Ironically, I've held back because I was hesitant to share too much or be too vulnerable. But here I am, ready to share my journey. Over the past month and a half, I finally took my first real vacation in nearly three years. I completely disconnected from work, and it was rejuvenating. It was a reminder that the world doesn’t stop if you take a break; in fact, it gave me a new energy returning to work. However, upon my return, life threw a few curveballs. My kids returned from a three-week sleepaway camp with lice, and soon, I had it too. Amid dealing with that, I leaned on my team more than ever. It was then that some gaps in our policies became apparent, affecting our performance for a client. Despite my efforts to rectify the situation, it was too late, and we lost the client. This was a blow, compounded by contracting COVID soon after. Being sidelined when my team needed me most was incredibly tough. This series of events led me to question everything: my role, my business, and my capabilities. But it also reignited my passion for what I do. I founded this business because I love social media and the incredible impact it can have on brands. I thrive on connecting with others and achieving results for our clients. Yes, I am meant to run this business, and yes, there are always new heights to reach in social media expertise. The key takeaway? It’s okay to rely on your team, but it’s also crucial to stay connected with your passion and the core of your business. I’m here to say that everyone makes mistakes, and it’s okay. It’s important to share not just the highs but also the lows. Going forward, I promise to show up authentically, sharing all facets of my professional journey. So here I am—imperfect, learning, and more committed than ever. Thank you for being part of my community.

The Trump assassination attempt is a cry for help from a society plagued by division, distrust, hopelessness and despair. It’s a canary in the coal mine, calling for our attention and reflection. And we need to heed it’s clarion call. America is at a tipping point, poised between a second enlightenment and dystopian despair. And the stakes could not be higher. This is about much more than the outcome of the 2024 election, because regardless of who wins - we have very rough and uncharted waters ahead. We’re like are a ship adrift without an anchor, a compass, a reliable pilot, or a Captain we all trust. And there’s a technological tsunami ahead. I’ve been writing and speaking about this for years. I’ve discussed these issues at length in my book Millennial Samurai: A Mindset for the 21st Century (2019). And I’ve spoken about them to standing ovations around the country from Los Angeles to Miami.
