🌟𝐑𝐞𝐟𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐧 𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐰 𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐬🌟 Recently, I've been immersed in numerous interviews and profile screenings, and I wanted to share an intriguing encounter that left me pondering. - During one interview, when asked if I belonged to Bangalore, 𝘐 𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘱𝘰𝘯𝘥𝘦𝘥 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘢 𝘯𝘰. - To my surprise, the HR informed me that they were solely considering 𝘤𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘪𝘥𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘴 𝘸𝘩𝘰 𝘸𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘭𝘰𝘤𝘢𝘭 𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘪𝘥𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘴. This interaction sparked a multitude of questions in my mind. I couldn't help but wonder about the implications of such a criterion. If cities like Delhi also implement similar rules, where does that leave the talented individuals who have migrated? Why this sudden imposition of limitations and conditions for prospective candidates? While it's true that not all companies adhere to such strict criteria, it raises broader questions about the fairness and effectiveness of such practices. After all, shouldn't a candidate's skills and qualifications outweigh their geographical location? I'm eager to hear your thoughts on this matter. I have noticed that sometimes, amidst hundreds of comments on a post, it can be challenging to respond to each one. However, it is surprising to see the lack of responses even to a smaller number of queries. I am curious about the purpose of the Job Advertisement. Some genuine questions often go unanswered, such as the possibility of a Virtual Interview, Notice Period, or acceptance of Tech graduates. I urge the #talentacquisition community to handle these situations with empathy and address the questions and concerns raised. Each job posting could hold significant importance for an individual, and it is essential to acknowledge that.
