Temporary working platforms are important aspect of many construction projects, providing stable and safe working areas. Piling mats are working platforms designed specifically to carry the heavy static and dynamic loads from piling rigs, their support cranes and associated equipment. Often placed over weaker subgrades, temporary working platforms are typically built using well-graded, compacted granular fill, such as natural gravels and crushed rock, as well as recycled demolition material. Geogrids can be incorporated in the granular material to stabilise it and increase bearing capacity, and platforms are designed to be free-draining, to prevent a build-up of water on the surface. Innovation at Every Turn 🔄 Do you know that we weld our screw piles extensions if they go deeper? Take this case study for example, we estimated a 3m deep pile, however in a partial part of the site, they needed an additional 2m to get to torque. Whilst other contractors are in the habit to extend using a horizontal shear bolt system, we like to weld them to ensure the highest strucutral integrity is met. Here is the sweet spot, it does not cost extra with the Piling Experts. We're often asked about the advantages PUR-X® Blinder over a traditional concrete blinder. I explain it like this; For every 1000m2 of area of the blinder, it's normal to excavate, minimum, 50mm of material to accommodate the concrete blinder. This excavation process will require the use of 8 trucks, each with a capacity of 8 cubic meters, plus two excavators. Assume truck hire at $250 per hour per truck Assume Excavator cost at $350 per hour per excavator Plus Tip fees. By the time the excavation and removal are completed, application of PUR-X® Blinder's been completed and the membrane's going down. Apply your known $s to the costs ⬆️ and begin to see the advantages of PUR-X® Blinder. Here to help.

Shoring or Benching? This project had both. There are many factors to consider when planning your trenching methodology. Some are not given the consideration they deserve. Shoring: - Aluminium or Steel? - Lifting or dragging? - Machinery size? - Plant operator experience? - Worker retrieval? (davit etc) Benching: - Ground conditions? - Access in and out? - Machinery reach for bedding and laying? - Reinstatement footprint? - Room to excavate? Get in touch with Colltrac to discuss your options and come up with a plan that is specific for your needs. chris.collins@colltrac.com

What is concrete sawing? 💎 Concrete sawing is the process of cutting precise and controlled openings into concrete using a powerful saw equipped with diamond blades. These blades are specially designed to cut through tough materials like concrete, asphalt, brick, and stone. Common uses include: 🚪 Creating doorways and windows: Concrete sawing allows for the creation of perfectly sized openings for doors, windows, and other access points. 🔌 Installing pipes and cables: Sawing precise channels in concrete is essential for safely installing pipes, cables, and other utilities. 🚧Forming expansion joints: Concrete sawing can be used to create expansion joints in concrete slabs to prevent cracking and damage. 🛠️ Demolition and removal: Concrete sawing is a safe and efficient way to remove unwanted concrete structures or sections. 🚗 Road repairs: Concrete sawing is used for cutting trenches for road repairs and maintenance. Are you a project manager looking for an accredited contractor for your diamond drilling or sawing project? One of my favorite tools on site is a dumpy level machine. This machine is useful when checking levels. I use it to check levels before casting a slab and during casting of a slab. That way, I ensure that I account for every quantity of material delivered to site. I also use it when checking levels after excavation, to determine quantity of excavated material, amount of backfill needed, volume of hardcore, concrete for columns etc. This machine makes work easier. #Construction #Surveying

Versatile wagon saddle excavator, designed for efficient excavation in confined and challenging environments. A wagon saddle excavator is a specialized type of heavy machinery used in mining and excavation projects. Its design features a large digging arm mounted on a platform or chassis, resembling a wagon. The "saddle" refers to the structure that supports the digging arm, allowing it to pivot and maneuver with precision. This excavator is ideal for tasks that require efficient material removal in challenging environments, such as in tunnels or confined spaces. Its versatility enables it to handle a wide range of materials, from soil to rock, making it essential in both construction and mining operations. The compact yet powerful design of the wagon saddle excavator ensures efficiency and mobility in complex excavation tasks. video rights : Respective owners DM for removal/credits #excavator #engineering #construction #mining #civilengineering #civilconstruction #engenharia #engenhariacivil #technology #engenharia #engenhariacivil #ingeniero #ingenierocivil
