Circular Economy in 1 slide 🪜 How it helps to unlock value for clients?👇 The circularity ladder shows the nine circular economy strategies: Refuse, Rethink, Reduce, Reuse, Repair, Refurbish, Remanufacture, Repurpose, and Recycle. ➡️Most important: It provides clarity and direction. ♻️Here's why I keep using it with my clients: 1️⃣ Target the lifecycle: This visual addresses the entire product lifecycle. By using it, you can get a holistic view on the 'stewardship of your resources' - for a product or in your company. The R-ladder help us to design strategies for circular design, efficient resource use or waste elimination. 2️⃣🪜Clear hierarchy: The R-ladder provides a clear hierarchy of strategies. It emphasises the most sustainable options first. F.ex., 'refuse' and 'rethink' are prioritised over 'recycle'. 3️⃣ It's applicable across sectors: The nine R strategies can be applied across various industries, from manufacturing to agriculture, making it a versatile tool for different sectors. 4️⃣ Systemic impact: The application of the R-ladder automatically gives you a systemic perspective of your strategy and operations. It can help to unlock the economic, social and environmental Benefits.
