🌟 Exciting update from Aduna ! For those who missed it, Aduna (launched in Sept 2024) is a revolutionary collaboration between major global telcos and Ericsson that's set to transform how we think about network APIs. Common network APIs that work across ANY network globally, empowering developers to innovate faster and create applications that work seamlessly worldwide. This powerful initiative brings together 12 of the world's largest telecom operators (including AT&T, Vodafone, Deutsche Telekom & more), all built on industry-wide CAMARA APIs. Fun fact: The name "Aduna" comes from Latin, meaning "many entities uniting as one" , perfectly capturing the collaborative spirit of this venture! As of January 20, 2025, Anthony Bartolo will step in as CEO to lead this transformation. Excited to see how this standardization of network APIs will unlock the next wave of global innovation. This could be a game changer for developers and enterprises alike! #Telecom #Innovation #APIs #DigitalTransformation #TechnologyNews

The continent of #Africa (pop. 1.4bn) seemed notable by its absence in the #API joint-venture recent announcement from Ericsson and telco partners. Luckily MTN's own Chenosis business is already offering the continent a route to #digital #transformation, with APIs at the heart. We look at how Chenosis is taking a different-than-usual approach, which recognizes the unique characteristics and opportunities across the African continent. Instructive for any #telco looking at new revenue sources and business models based on APIs. By Robert Curran and John Cyriac Abraham [paywall/free on subscription]
